I'm addicted to this game. Looking to grind up a FG deck. Advice? https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=28660.msg366303#msg366303

Hello all,  I just started playing this game this week and I love it.  Unfortunately, I've already spent a couple of days grinding before I had found the forums/wiki and well I misused some of my resources (used my quest to get Owl's Eye - ouch.) and am looking to start upgrading my deck to an FG killer.  I've read a few already, but I found out the decks were old after I started building them (scaredgirl's rainbow) or a lot of them contain pulverizer or eternity which I don't have.  I tried the Firelance unupped but got a bad match up 12 times in a row so I decided I'm better off just grinding up to a real deck.  I'm currently using the grabix deck for grinding Elders which is flat out fantastic compared to the monofire i was running before.

Here are the cards I currently have:

All advice on what to sell and upgrade etc is welcome, as I am getting sick of playing against Elders

Thanks for reading, Cheers all

If you can afford to upgrade the photons at least, RoL/Hope is a good one to start with.  Also while pulverizer would have probably been a better choice, I wouldn't say owl's eye was THAT bad since it does at least provide some good CC and could be used in a flying weapon deck since you have a few of them now.  You might also consider trying bronze league arena and see if you can win some more rares from there.  As for selling cards, I'd say don't sell anything until you have at least 12 copies(or more than 6 upped) of it since you lose money every time you sell something and then have to buy it back later.  Anyway, you're probably at about the hardest part of the game right now..it gets much better once you have a decent FG grinding deck and can start winning upped cards and earning money for new decks faster.

RoL / Hope (and its various permutations) is probably your best bet, as it seems you cannot afford a fully upgraded deck. If you can't afford the upgrades, look into unupgraded Liquid Antimatter, Fire Bolt Sudden Kill, and the unupgraded CCWB.

Be sure not to miss out on one of the best sources of income for new players: Newbie FG Killing FTW (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,23099.0.html)! Essence's guide will put a little money in your pocket, but also help you familiarize yourself with the many FGs.

As for which FG deck to build, I'll echo those who have replied before me and say that it really depends on which rare weapons you can acquire first:

One more very important thing to note...don't forget to check the oracle every day and take advantage of the fg predictions it gives you.  Knowing what you will be facing next makes it much easier since you can use a deck specifically to counter that fg...most of them can easily be beaten even by a fully unupped deck this way.

Thanks everybody for the advice.  I'm grinding away now, got ~4k electrum, need 5k more to upgrade photons to RoL.  However, I think it would be more cost effective for me to do Flay'em since I already have 2 electrum hourglasses.  The only thing is I don't have the 2 pulverizers needed in that deck.  What's the best way to farm those?  Should I try grinding in the arena?

edit: is there a deck better than grabbix for grinding bronze?
