basically gravity is getting slapped across the face with that and most dragons.  :fire dragons go through the thicket like a knife in butter. nice idea there buddy

Sounds like you already have a settled plan but here is an idea you can take or leave.

Make it a shield and make it similar to bonewall. It could start out with 7 Thickets and grow a new thicket every turn. Creatures would have a standard percentage to bypass it - let's just say 50% chance to hit you. If they are blocked though, 1 Thicket counter would be removed from your shield slot.

So with 1 creature out they would hit half the time but the shield would keep growing. With 10 creatures out, half of them would hit you and the other half would remove 5 Thicket Counters.

Just an idea. I like what you already have.

It is a slap to massive dragon but Gravity has momentum so.... Ruby dragon probably would just torch the thicket and walk straight through it - thematically speaking it makes sense. Balance wise though its tough. Unless we change it from HP to Attack...

Not that much since anything with HP>10 is valued the same....deliberate, so as to not make it too anti-gravity (and as Wizelsnarf says, gravity has momentum anyway). Otherwise yeah, thematically fits  :fire well, thanks :)

That could work, as it is basically a shield. You could even maybe pay  :life to generate more thickets, maybe that'd be OP though. I guess the reason I didn't make it a shield though is that life already has two shields...
Balance is tough, although easy without stacking (but cards which can stack are always nicer..). In general, I'd like to try keep it similar to as it is, I like the HP-value inclusion and the idea that most creatures will hardly be effected by this (currently 15% chance to block creatures with 3HP), just the big ones :p

Thinking about it, I find your idea is actually different enough to worthy a new card, you want to make it?

You should fix the typo. "Creatures attacking you have a chance to miss" should be "Attacking creatures have a chance to miss", or even "Attacking creatures have a chance to miss, bigger creatures will miss more often" I like it the last way, but the "bigger creatures will miss more often" should be changed a bit :D

"Attacking creatures have a chance to miss: denotes all creatures on the field. Take a cue from Dusk Mantle and add a "you" to the end and you've got it. As for "bigger creatures," let's take a look at Otyugh, shall we? :P I think it'd work out.

But on the subject of typos...the word "creatures" on both cards is missing the 'r'.

Is there a real difference between "Creatures attacking you have a chance to miss" and "Attacking creatures have a chance to miss you"?
Would "Creatures attacking you have a chance to miss, depending on their size(or HP?)" sound better in general?

Thanks for spotting my creatures typo!

I've also spent some time trying to work out a way to make it stack. I don't want it to be impossible for a creature to attack successfully, so max block should be 90% (maybe 95%, but 90% is easier to explain my situation).
This means that 1 card should block 15% chance for the maximum, as 6x15=90. However, 15% is very low, they should at least stack like pillars to compensate a little.
Now for small creatures, I wanted perhaps 60% if you have all 6 cards out, so 1 card should block 10%.
-> that means though that with 1 card you block small creatures with 10% and massive ones with 15% which is not really great, and no what I intended.....

the only solution then is to have the next stacks block less, but then you're not getting your money's worth for this card for any after the first one played, imo :s
So I best leave it as it is I'm afraid (or use this idea to make a shield like wizelsnarf suggested).

With that in mind, what do people think about the cost, and the %s given?

It is a quality example of potential Soft Creature Control for the Life Element. We feel that this card would be a great improvement to Elements the Game. Every thicket adds 10%miss rate.
Draw a card

However I see it as a dusk shield that comes in play in installments :)

I think it should stack and be targetable by earthquake
