Kakerlake | Cockroach

[Kakerlake]

With a Quantum Tower you can summon it already in the 1st turn.

But I don't think it is needed to increase the cost since this creatur is a quite slow way to create mutants.

Anyway, I'll start a poll. Let's see what everyone thinks about the cost.

I... don't know what to feel about it in regards of the cost, as Other doesn't have creatures (Malignant Cell doesn't count). What is this supposed to do exactly? Is it mostly for those Time-rainbow decks, where spawning multiples of these can allow you to create a number of specialized mutants that could hopefully decimate your opponent? Or does this card more provide just a fun mechanic for the Other 'element' to have?

It's interesting nonetheless, but I hope you can keep growing with the idea, if you want it to be taken completely seriously (note that no one has entered a card with their own name into the Crucible, I believe). ^^;

I'll do that in an instant.
As for the art, it will be changed, of course. But as I've heard, it doesn't seem a very good choice to use a real life picture.
When I find an appropriate one, I'll use that one. But until then, I guess the real life cockroach will do

This card is more for both, very versetail in its use. It is supposed to be a quite slow but powerful card. The deckidea for this card would either be a stall deck, where you can delay the opponent long enough to bring out a bunch of mutants, without having to quint a elf, have a graveyard, CC and an opponent with creatures.
Another Idea would be some kind of rush deck, where you can win in the 6th turn with a nearly OTK (more for pvp), if you are lucky or quickly make a mutant and TU it Gemini style.
The reason why it is in the Other element is simply because the Idea came when I made my Forum Card. My favorite element is rainbow, so it is a Other element creature. I guess it would be more appropriate to put it somewhere between Life and Earth.... Is it possible to make it's cost  ? - Still rainbow enough for me with 4 needed elements ^^

If it's immaterial, wouldn't that make the resulting mutant immaterial as well? At least that's how it works for Fate Eggs, but then again, it's impossible to have both the mutant and the immaterial status...

Fate egg doesn't use a mutation. It just transforms into a normal/elite creature.
If this mutation would result in a immaterial mutant, it would be a little OP. Fixing that problem would be an easy task though, just a little change would do.

Kakerlake: 0/3 (not immaterial), when it dies: produce 1 mutant.
Ability: add one counter. when it has 2 or more produce a minor and transform into a minor. (does not die)

minor: same as before.

It shouldn't be hard to go around any code that would make the mutant immortal.

There should be nothing preventing the removal of immortal status, if it were to be required/desired, so even if it were to carry over, as fate egg does, it could easily be removed upon using the ability if added to the game.

Also, for what its worth, I think the cost is a little high, actually.

These guys are actually going to provide (minor) healing to the opponent until you have the number you want to mutate, and it would take long enough to get several that the healing from them, and the space used on this when it could have been a mutation card to get an instant mutant/damage, would add up.

A faster way to get less damage or worse abilities for a 3 quanta and/or a card space would probably generally be better, so I had to vote that the cost seemed high.
