But the thing is, Purify destroying poison ISN'T a good thing. I'm not sure what Zanz was smoking when he made Purify.

All in all, very specific counter cards are usually not good.
Isn't a very specific card, the card says "Remove Immaterial from target PERMANET or creature..."

It can be used against quintessence, enchant artifact, hope, morning glory and so on...

how do you target a creature that is untargetable?
Ask permafrost shield how it is better than RoF.

It's still specific
unless your opponent is time(anubis) earth or aether this is a dead draw.
also why does it say poison target creature. that would mean only being able to target creature.
How about" If a creature was targeted poison it."

Maybe raise the cost to, say, 6 and make it a full field effect (all immortals lose immortality).
And the upped cost would be 8 and it would only affect the enemy side.

Full field effect make it too powerfull

/agree

I actually do not like this card altogether, because creatures or items that are immaterial should not be targetable, as they are now. This is aether's specialty and should not be nullified.

I think the card is useful.  Somewhat circumstantial, but useful.

@b00mc1ap-freeze is water's specialty.  When an Anubis grants immortality to a creature, it unfreezes.  I imagine the same would be true for Quintessence.  Should aether be considered better than water?

I understand where some people are coming from with the whole untargettable angle, but, (ignoring the code altering that would be needed to actually implement this card) how many cards use the immortal angle that this would prevent?

Light: Mirror Shield/Hope (both light shields)
Life: Emerald Shield
Air: NONE
Water: NONE
Gravity: NONE
Time: Anubis
Darkness: NONE
Death: NONE
Earth: Enchant Artifact
Fire: NONE
Entropy: NONE
Aether: Immortal/Phase Dragon/Quintessence

So out of all of the cards in the game, 8 have this ability, with 3 of them able to confer the ability onto other things.  Personally, I think there should be a way to get rid of the untargettable ability, because with anubis, as long as he gets out first, there goes your opponents totally untargettable army coming and theres nothing you can do about it

Good! I like it but maybe you should up the cost to match to quintessence. Give and remove immortality should cost the same IMO.

Then what would be the catch of immortality? Everybody would put this into their deck and decks based on quintessence or untargetable cards would go away completely because their upper hand just got chopped off.
