I would prefer if the excavation discovered 2 Pendulums added to the deck.

If it adds useful stuff then it is more versatile and could be given an activation skill.

If it had an activation skill then it could use old code instead of new code.
As for paying quanta and a draw to turn 1 card slot into 2 card slots. It manipulates probabilities allowing a smaller stall deck that relies on a combo by paying later to recoup the lost pillars.
Or it could be 1 card to gain the certainty of more quanta as a form of security.

I changed the card somewhat. First, it now has an active ability that allows you to target your deck or the enemy's. Second, the upped card adds 3 Relics instead of 2 and costs 1  :time more. (I am a bit concerned about balance for the upped.) I think it's much improved in terms of strategy.

I disagree. While the excavation part does fit the 'Earth' theme more, the idea of discovering relics from eons ago is much more thematically suited for Time, so I say it should stay as is in regards to the Element. :)

You still need to fix the upped table though XYTWO, just letting you know. ;)
