Farewell / So long and thanks for all the fish
« on: June 23, 2011, 03:48:51 pm »
Well, it's hard for me to say this but....

It's not you, it's me.

I'm just too busy to keep up with everything that I need to. I'm sure I'll be back eventually, in all honesty there is a good chance I might be back at the end of the summer, but for now, goodbye.

Thanks for putting up with me everyone, I'm sure it wasn't easy.

Good luck Napalm and the rest of team fire, close war with an explosion or two.  :-*

There are too many good people still left on this forum to say goodbye to all of them, so I won't even try.

So your saying is all thanos has to do to win is go get a super powerful cosmic item? Okay, I win. If your goal is to starve galactus until you can kill him upfront, then all galactus has to do is A.) Kill him now. B.) Get the cosmic power items before thanos and kill him later. C.) Eat him for poops and giggles or D.) Kill him now

Unfortunatly your entire argument is based around thanos gaining a cosmic item. Otherwise you have no basis and galactus just wins. The only time he has shown enough power to "starve" galactus is when he does have the item. Alone, thanos is no threat to the eater-of-worlds.

Thanos HAZ nothing on the great maker. Galactus is a being older than the eternals, and more powerful. Looking at the powergrids for both characters, Galactus is the stronger fighter. (Cannot post pictures on my buggy comp). You really think with all the resources and power galactus has he cannot trap or kill Thanos, really? For someone who can eat worlds, Thanos is simply a chewy piece of gum. Yes, with the heart of the universe, Thanos did defeat Galactus in battle, along with other celestial fighters, but Thanos also destroyed the heart of the universe and thus destroyed his only chance of winning. Thanos's plots always revolve around him getting superpowerful items to make himself into a god, Galactus is already as powerful. From a straightforward fighting perspective, Galactus is simply too much for poor little Thanos.

1. Hidan didn't die (probably because he couldn''t)
2. That's because there were upwards of 50 exploding tags, razor wire and a pit trap.
3. It's also because Hidan fell into shikamaru's trap, something Tezca wouldn't do.
4. Hidan was also immobilized first, which is something that couldn't happen to Tezca.

Tezca > Shikamaru
Tezca > Exploding tags
Tezca > Shikamaru + Exploding Tags
Tezca < Fake Exploding Tags that are imbued with Shikamaru's Shadow Chakra to immobilize him for the slight moment in which the ground beneath him would be decimated, throwing him into a pit of absolute and total darkness, whereas Shikamaru would seal the top of the hole, and ignite the 150 real exploding tags that are set up in the tiny cavern Tezca can't escape from.
You mean exactly what Shikamaru did to Hidan? By setting up his location first (which Tezca wouldn't let happen), the use all kinds of traps designed to immobilize a target (which Tezca is pretty much immune to) and then trigger his trap (when Tezca could create illusions to make shikamaru trigger his trap early, making Shikamaru vulnerable and well, dead.)

I really wish I wouldn't have to repeat myself over and over again saying that Tezca will not be immobilized by Shikamaru's shadow bind.
I really wish I wouldn't have to repeat myself over and over again saying that Tezca will set up a battlefield designed for him, not for Shikamaru.

Look, I love Shikamaru as a character too, but the fact is his powers, as designed, cannot beat Tezca.

I'd really love to not lose this argument simply because Naruto is a better know manga than Soul Eater. Frankly no one has proposed a point based on Shikamaru's abilities that Tezca could not counter.

Round 9 / (Fire) Gavsword 2 - (Aether) UTAlan 1

Just wow, closest match i've ever had. Literally decided by the cointoss.

Game 1
He had a bad hand and I just overwhelmed him. It felt fishy though. I saw no PU, no poison and only 1 dragon so I wondered what their offense was. Still only won by one turn.

Game 2.1
I had a lot of power, a lot of good draws, but then we had an extremely funky desynch (he played a fire pillar and forrest spirit). Things normalized after a second though and I saw fractal, the weirdness caused a replay though.

Game 2.2
Again, close. Timely misplays and good luck gave him the win, that being said UTalan played perfectly. Even just getting in 1 hit with arsenic early actually decided it. I was a turn off lethal if he didn't slowly poison me down to lethal because of fractal

Game 3
Won the toss. Started with both QS's in hand. Debated hitting his early pends, decided not to and realized he could play a bonewall and two lightnings to wipe my board because I didn't. Terrible play on my part, and I thought it cost me the game. I didn't see a arsenic for a while, so I QS'd and deflagged his pends to buy time. Started dropping dragons as soon as I drew them and ate his bonewall slowly. Due to the QSs and deflagging his pends, he just didn't have the quanta to keep up with my dragons in a way to play bonewall and fractal his dragons. Every dragon he played I had an RP for. I got incredibly lucky. I realized because I won the cointoss that I had won the game. I never win cointosses. Seriously, in budo I won 3 cointosses in 7 matches. I won both here and they won me the match.

I'm sorry UTAlan, you deserved this match. This win goes to the RNG more than the way I played (though majofa helped a lot too in building it).

Great match mate.

1.) Has an exploding tag actually killed anyone in the naruto series? No? Okay.

2.) He survived this, so yeah I'm pretty sure he can survive exploding paper

Or Tezca just fires it big enough to destroy/reflect any kunai as well...

Tezca wins.

Tezca has not been shown to do either, but due to the destructive power he has when reflecting sunlight, he can always just zap em
