Born during the dark ages, when repression was everywhere, repressor loves to restrict his opponents, using neurotoxin to limit the number of cards played, eternity to limit the number of creatures played, gravity shield to limit the size of creatures able to reach him, granity skin to limit the speed of the game, and gravity nymph to limit some quanta.
This is designed to be a challenging but fair opponent for generally used FG decks. Neurotoxin will eventually come every time (ideal number of dunes and unstoppables for not letting this fg get neurotoxin combo too early consistently) you face this FG, but careful play would get the better of him, since he barely has any damage other than neurotoxin. The only creature that has threatening attack is golden nymph, which is a good antimatter target. There is black hole from gravity nymph, but it's really only there for some healing rather than Dark Matter type of total shutdown, because :gravity quanta is too slow for the nymph to be out early.
Good way to beat this FG is to do damage quickly so that granite skins do not add much HP, or pack enough purifies which at enough numbers will basically negate almost all of this FG's damage. Too compensate for the pressure that neurotoxin will have on players, this FG has barely any control; no PC and only means of CC in 2 eternities.

Hecate (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,19163.0.html)

Hecate, goddess of witchcraft and curses. Her name has not been spoken in a long time. She was a vengeful goddess, filled with unending rage. She constantly found some individual who had slighted her in some manner and saw to it that they suffered what she considered the appropriate pain. It was when her fury drove her to attack the other False Gods that she vanished. Defeated and reduced to little more than a shadow of her previous strength, she was no longer a threat to anyone. How was she to take her revenge?

The answer came to Hecate in form of the Voodoo Doll. She wondered, who would think that such an insignificant thing could take down the Gods?

This deck focuses on the Voodoo Doll + Rage Elixir combo with supplementary cards. Liquid Shadow is always useful to use on an enraged Doll, as it will both poison the player and cause Hecate to receive vampiric healing. Nightmare takes advantage of Voodoo Doll's uselessness in decks that don't revolve around it and stops drawing for a turn. Eclipse can be helpful to buff the Dolls, Dusk is an excellent means to prolong Hecate's life, Dagger is an excellent weapon, and there are Steals to deal with problematic weapons or shields used against her. The cards used for buffing the Dolls also serve as a large amount of CC. Cute little note is that this deck has 66 cards in it.
The dogs of war are nothing compared to the cats.

Long ago, there was a village, its name now lost, where people lived a simple and peaceful life. It all began a man had lost his mind - no one knew the reason. But it seemed contagious, it spread like wildfire. Insanity consumed the people in a few days; the peace turned into chaos and mad frenzy. And then, when the last seed of sanity was eliminated, a glorious figure appeared, floating above the earth, followed by a group of fallen druids. It was a goddess, or a being close to it - it was Mania. The crazed villagers gathered around her and worshipped her ever-twisting avatar. And as they worshipped, her druids transformed them all into vile abominations, increasing the army of the goddess.
Although considered only a tale, it is said that she is still out there.

Her strategy is quite simple, but playing her will never be the same. She is weak to massive CC, quanta denial and bad luck. I chose abominations because they fit the theme better and are tougher than RoLs - they can do some damage alone without mutation too, and don't die to a single RoF.

"We live the darkest of times, my faithful. Heresy and withcraft is spreading like plague, sickening our lives and the mind of the once loyal. Dark magicks are taunting our humility and devotion to the One. We cannot let such a turpitude to end our hundreds of years of Order! This corruption has come to an end!

I, my brothers, I shall stand up first against these heretics! I shall hunt them down, even in the darkest and most hidden corners of their lairs if must, and make them atone for the blasphemy that left their tongue! The disease they brought upon us must be cleansed by all means! A new era is coming, brothers. We have been forced to give up our peace and remission. We now became the tools of our Beloved, and we must carry out His will!

From this day, I command: All who is in share within the doubt of the One, should share their places on the bonfire, and be cleansed by their diseases and the touch of the demons they've bargained with. All others, who may stand against the will of our Lord, shall be smitten by the flames of His anger in a strict, merciless, and exemplary way.

Our most zealous of the faithful are armed, and praying for blessings.. Have fear no more, brothers; I shall bring back the light in these times.."

Petrarch

Version 1.02

Code: [Select]
744 744 744 744 744 744 74c 74c 74c 74c 74c 74e 74e 74e 74e 74e 74e 74h 74h 75m 75m 75m 7dg 7dg 7dg 7dg 7dl 7dm 7dm 7f2 7f2 7k5 7k5 7k5 7k5 7k5 7k5 7n2 7n2 7n2Brief overview:

Name: Petrarch. After the Italian scholar, Francesco Petrarca, the first to coin the term "Dark Ages"

Crusaders + Firemasters: both look a lot like knights, both fit the aggressive theme of this deck

Titan: Gives crusaders momentum, very powerful and great synergy with other cards in this deck like catapult

Catapult: Duh. Siege weapon.

Fire buckler: Can't have war without some shields

Explosions: Yes. Boom. Explosions are fun.

So it's fun to play with, I can see a lot of potential in here. Any suggestions would be appreciated. If anyone thinks I should try to write a story for this I can, but don't feel like especially cause I'm not too skilled of a writer.

Matchups:
RoL/Hope: The Firemasters can be flung, momentum crusaders are EVIL.

CCYB: Depends on the hand. Antimatter slows it down a lot, but if this deck has a very fast start its very hard to recover from. Pulvy doesnt really hurt this deck too bad because most of the time the titans are being animated. Also if things get close the AI flings the titans and can handle it

Shak'ars revenge: Momentum usually beats it because the Dolls wont take damage from your heavy hitters, no crusader + titan then vengeance is theirs but, firemasters aren't usually fast enough for this combo to really backfire.

Fractal Pests: Really depends on how quickly either goes off. If you suppress them down to the point where they only have firemasters or non-momentum crusaders you have a good chance, otherwise you just get overwhelmed.

LAMS (Liquid Shadow + Antimatter): Can disrupt it a lot, but anything anti-mattered will be launched. So this will probably just end up in boring games which don't really go anywhere.

This deck is difficult to beat, but far away from impossible. It's fun to play, and should be pretty fun to play against.

Changes:
- 3 Oty
- 3 Miracles
- 1 Chimera

+ 1 Fire Buckler
+ 1 Gravity Tower

Quote
Dark Ages:
a. An era of ignorance, superstition, or social chaos or repression.
b. The early or crude stage in the history or development of something.
c. An age of no magic and a focus on warfare.
Do we have to adhere to these three definitions, or can we come up with our own interpretations of "Dark Age"?
I'm assuming you'll interpret it as a Darkness deck?  :)

As long as when somebody looks at your deck and description and they think "Oh yea, that is totally during the time of the Dark Ages," then it's fine.  Just remember that there are two more themes after this one, and if your deck that you have in mind doesn't quite match with this particular theme, it will maybe match perfectly with the next two.

During this time of Chaos within nations, there was an elite group of soldiers who thrived and greatened the chaos. They went in, using chaos to cripple their opponent while they beat them down. The also used trickery and magic, using their opponents attack for their own benefit, while also giving more and more power to themselves using strange and magical ways. If you saw through their tricks, and were about to kill them, they would suddenly become whole again. Peasants cursed and feared them and their ways, praying that they would never have to face the deadly Chaos Warriors. That was hundreds of years ago, and all but one have been killed off. The only one left still seeks to create chaos while he still lives, and will stop at nothing to defeat you.

All humanoids at planet Zyvl hates Steam. Steam destroys their body, take their soul and kills.
The Fake God of Zyvl, Factory learned that. He hired Steam Machines to make that steam. The project was going for years, and when Factory the Fake God was just about to release all the steam, the Real God Clean came and took all the steam. He took it to his lab and did something (that noone knows) with that steam so it attacks Fake Gods, and unleashed the power, so Factory the Fake God fainted. He's been sleeping for a million or two years.
Machine have revived.

Psychosis (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,19196.0.html)

Code: [Select]
74a 74a 74a 74a 74a 74a 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q3 7q3 7q5 7q5 7q8 7q8 7q8 7qd 7qd 7qd 7qd 7qd 7qd 7qk
In the darkest days before the Great Antagon rose, when the false gods demanded their name true, the people cowered in fear.  The only disease in the land was impurity, disbelief, and the only cure was neurotoxin.  The scorpions leached life from the population while the gods only grew stronger.  And to play a card?  It was to die.

The Psychosis roamed the streets, preaching his ways to the "sick", and curing them.  And as his scorpions slowly devoured their minds, his victims would forget all they knew.  Just prior to death, they lay in a state of unknowing lifelessness, and it was in those moments they blankly "repented", confirming the grace and power of the gods.  Thousands of intellectuals died because of the treatment, books were burned, knowledge was lost.  It was only when Psychosis was finally beaten that the people had a chance to learn, to rise up.

But Psychosis is here again.  And we wants your mind to die.

This deck is pretty brutal against the vast majority of FG farmers.  It's a hard counter to fractal and shields, meaning it will beat RoL/Hope almost every time.  CCYB can win on a fast set-up, but voodoo dolls are in trouble.  The reverse-time card locks means any deck without hourglasses will sit there and be poisoned to death.  At the same time, however, the deck isn't exactly a rush.  It's low in damage sources, and as such, being poisoned isn't the end of the world.  If you're smart about what cards you play, there's a chance to win.  Beating this god doesn't mean you had a well-made deck, it means you played your deck well.

Anti-FG-breakdown:
ROL/Hope:  It has momentum, and kills fractal
CCYB:  Antimatter doesn't really help, so the poison goes through, it becomes a damage race.  Seeing as CCYB's damage is ability based however, it has a chance
Voodoll:  The lack of creature control doesn't help, and scorpions don't do much damage to GP'd voodoo dolls.  Once momentum'd, the scorpions will easily beat the voodoll deck.
Time-bow:  The CC of timebow has a good chance of beating this deck, but all of it's creatures are venomous.  Your best hope is to mutate away baddies.
Antimatter+Liquid shadow:  Liquid shadow locks down this deck.  It'd depend how much poison you got before you killed all the scorps.
Fractal+pests:  Pests would need to lock down quanta quickly, and triple mark protects against that.  If the pests could get out before the god dropped it's combo, they'd have a chance.

As you can see, it's not an easy false god to beat.

At the same time, however, it's a good one to farm.  Of it's 30 cards, 10 are pillars, 12 are full sets of cards (2 full sets = good spins), three are rares, and one is a nymph.  It's a hard god to beat, sure, but it's worth beating.
