To reiterate: casting animate weapon on your opponent's weapon would animate it as an enemy creature

If you gave Animate Weapon that ability it would be overpowered. If you wanna create a card for air to effect weapons than do it . If you ever made a card that could do that then it should cost at least 4 air to cast. :)

How is it OP? Where are you getting 4 from? Consider the small number of weapons destroyable by Shockwave, which I listed: unupped that's 3 :air and two cards for something :fire does with one card and 3 :fire (not even mentioning that Deflagration applies to any permanent)

Granted I didn't analyse upped very well. There one has to consider AW Lightning, AW devour, AW Sundial, AW Rewind, even AW Lobo. Honestly, these all feel weaker than conventional PC. In no way am I trying to get a strong PC in :air. I'm only trying to allow for reactive play. A CC AW deck will have some potential for PC if needs become desperate

The sad thing is that many elements without PC also lack CC, so this doesn't bring soft PC to all

This idea's been around for a long time.... and the change - if made - would be long overdue....



You target the player not the weapon.

(Also on that note, the Reflective shields should have their text changed to 'reflects all spell damage'.)

Random ideas: Aflatoxin deck might have a weird case of using this against a no creatures deck.

And SoW/Quint/Mirror Shield with Morning Glory... Despite this regrettable improvement to a deck that I totally hate, I voted yes for this minor buff, who add versatility to the game.

I like that it gives Air a type of PC, kinda like Earth and pillar control.  I don't see anything overwhelming by this small buff, as it is very situational.
Rule #1: The Captain is never wrong.  Rule #2: If the Captain is wrong, refer to Rule #1.
