I do agree sant does to much, I know I'm the only one who still uses Dishole but even with Shard of Focus the thing is a monster.

For 1 quantum more Sanctuary heals 1 hp more then Shard of Gratitude, blocks altering of the hand and quantum pools.

I suggest the fallowing:

Shard of Gratitude should block altering the quantum pool.

Sanctuary should block altering of the hand.

Why would a Shard of Gratitude stop others from changing your quanta? (Thematically)

It's just wrong on so many level. The SoG is a very good card, don't need no more ability. And this is the buffing forum, the nerfing is the other. Sanctuary is a defending card against, so it's obvious that it's good againts you if you play with that (  but if you change Entrophy to Darkness, Pests, Steals and Nightmare, it will be slightly better against Sanct. and Steal is a cruel card).

I quite like Sanc as it is, it doesn't cost much although the hand/quanta protection is slightly weak just because not many decks have cards that affect them, while the decks that do can usually counter this card.

I think sanctuary does too much and is too bad at what it is intended for: protecting your quanta and hand.

Why would you pack sanctuary? To protect you from pest, nightmare, blackhole and silence. The problem is that out of those it only works against silence.

If you face pest or nightmare, there will be steals -> useless

If you face blackhole, there will be SoF -> useless

And if you want healing you have miracle, luciferine and SoD which all do a better job.

My suggestion: make sanctuary protected and loose the healing. That way stacks wont give you a benefit, but once you have it out you actually get the protection you wanted (maybe make it a shield, it would fit the concept better anyways).
It would be like purify: you dont take it for the healing, it would be good at what it does even without that. You use it to stop the poison or SoSa immediately, thats what it is there for.

If you think it would be OP then, make it two seperate cards (again, does too much), one for quanta protection and one to protect your hand.

Tell me what you think.
I diagree
e i think its fine you mentioned steals as making sanc worthless. I i disagree most decks with steal only have 2-4 and that leaves other stuff that won't be stolen like quanta from pest's. Which by the way can still use their pesty steal quanta ability even when burrowed which it bs but that's another debate :)
If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.

While I honestly think Sanc is just fine in its current form, it is relevant to mention 1 additional function it provides. Protection from opponents' SoBr in arena. The "hand protection" effect stops you from drawing due to opponent's SoBr, and as a result, they draw no cards either. Win-win.
