I believe all these judging and reviewing should be done AFTER voting phase, not during voting phase.

And I didn't even mention a participant reviewing his own submission, which just sounds absolutely wrong.

I prefer to read the opinions and wisdom of others before I vote. This increases the objectivity of my vote. (an important characteristic for merit based voting) Likewise, since I prefer more wisdom to less wisdom, I prefer it when more people present their opinion. We need to be the change we seek in the world so I provided my opinions and encouraged the other card designers to do so as well.

Example) I know nothing about art. I think all submissions are nice, and I can't really decide. I see vrt's analysis (and a very detailed and useful analysis it is) and think, "Well, I like them all equally, so I'll trust the expert." The problem with that is now my vote is vrt's, not my vote.

The problem with providing feedback after the voting is that the rounds during voting won't get immediate feedback from the last task.

Personally, I like to read other people's thoughts when deciding what to choose. Yes, my vote may be swayed, but it's still my vote, and if it's a valid point, then why not? Thus, I see absolutely no issue with providing feedback during the voting rounds. In fact, I think it can contribute to the overall intelligence of the votes (less random voting, and more voting based on facts).

My feedback is that I felt the text posts that were well organized and color coded were much, much more attractive. Even if when the quality of the writing of the wall-of-text posts were better, I still preferred the better organized ones simply because they were so much easier for me to read. Just my two .

I like to read feedback and opinions ASAP, but I always vote before reading them anyway.

This is a tough question, really. Even though I put quite some effort in explaining my votes myself, I can understand why some people don't really like it. I feel just as Opsinis does, I have not much faith in my ability to judge a drawing objectively and thus might have just been influenced by vrt. Then again, I don't think I can be influenced in the voting for other tasks (except if it's something I overlooked or the like), because I'm quite sure there, so if only those are influenced that have no clue on what they vote, it might not be that bad. Tough question.
Chapuz should definetly decide this before R2 voting begins.

I don't get what's wrong in it, he is a expert in art, and he is not biased at all, so I don't see it bad.
The only problem I see is people that are in Brawl teams judging and posting those, that is plain wrong, you can't be biased enough with you work, no matter how much you try.

I have already heard support from 2 of my competitors (Anarook and Hyroen) I would like to hear if any of the others (Captain Scibra, Drake_XIV or Russiasnspy1234) have objections. I am willing to stay silent until after the voting phase if 2 of my competitors have objections.

Why is it weird?
OT is the biggest name in CIA and his opinions are highly respected.
As far as I can tell - he was incredibly impartial in his evaluations and they were performed from an objective standpoint - then he gave his opinion based on that evaluation.
And don't tell me you don't look at other tasks in your section and go through the same thing mentally...
C'mon man =/

I'd personally rather leave the critiquing for the Card Designs left to the Idea Gurus whether past or present.

We have already discussed the matter. Critiquing is fine, but we ask that players, especially "experts" like vrt and Oldtrees, not declare a "winner" in their critiques. We also ask that everyone try to keep their own opinion in consideration and not just go with what the experts say.

In Brawl 1, pieces that were worked on for 30 hours were rated lower than simple copy/paste jobs, and that is one major reason I am not taking part in this Brawl. An art review during the voting phase may help educate people a bit before they vote, and get hard-working artists the respect they deserve. However, as I stated very clearly in my post; you should vote based on your own tastes and views. I merely hope you keep the technical sides of things in mind, and appreciate them for the skill and effort that went into them.
