but could be easily OP considering how life rushes+healing means you would easily be on top of health compared to opponent

but then horned frog is a 3/3 for 1 more so I don't see this card getting used much

False God idea, fractual chickens with empathy and heals and maybe some lightnings/ dim shields

5/5 is a big chicken, maybe the upgraded version should be called El Pollo Grande.

I like the theme, but I think the costs are off, too cheap especially upgraded.

You should probably cite where you got your art from Antagon. :P Otherwise, I don't think it'll move up into the crucible...

Also, there's a discrepancy between the table and your card. Your table shouldn't have "Creature only deals damage...", but rather, "Only deals damage..." to match the picture. The comma in the card's description/card art is also unnecessary, because there's no 'clause' in the ability description.

Okay, that aside - it makes sense to have this card with :life (especially since :life is all about healing and whatnot), but I think the cost and ATTACK|HP make it a little bit too strong in mono- :life rushes. Perhaps you can make it so that the non-upgraded card has a pretty annoying cost (say 3-5), while the upgraded card would have a MUCH lower cost (1-2) - after that, you can equalize the stats on both cards at 5|5, so the upgrade would allow you to play it earlier, assuming you had more health than the opponent.

Just my two cents.  ;)
