It... wouldn't.

Fractal doesn't make you draw the cards, it puts those cards in your hand.

If you don't see the little "I'm drawing this card" animation, it doesn't count.

Does it work on turn 1, or only if cards are next to each other in the deck and you have means to actually draw them?

I don't understand how this works because of the "would." What do you mean, if I "would" draw two of them?

Okay,

A) this DOESN'T work on turn one.

B) The cards don't have to be next to each other.  You just have to draw them by using precog or electrum hourglass or something.

C)  I couldn't find better art as I was trying out Planplan's thing for the first time.  YOU try finding good art that's exactly 256x256.

D)  Finkel, imagine you are playing a Time mono.  You draw a Time traveler.  Next, you use your electrum hourglass.  Instead of drawing another time traveler, they both come into play.  If they're all upgraded (note that they ALL have to be upgraded), and you use a sundial, instead of drawing a third time traveler it ALSO comes into play.  This way time mono actually has something to draw into.

Come to think of it, this card mechanic is really confusing.  How's "if this was not the first card you drew this turn, it comes into play for free"?

Sooo... If you want to actually reap the benefits of free play, you'd want to have all 6 of those in your deck. You also probably dont want a big fat deck to have better chance of drawing those close to each other.

Now there are two problems with it:

1) With this setup, there's a big chance you'll have those cards in your opening hand (which you said wont work with its ability). 4|4 for 6 is weak.
2) You'll have to force yourself to draw more cards per turn while having small deck. So its a huge disadvantage having them at the bottom of the deck too.

While the idea of free play, if some conditions are met, is nice, I dont think it would be worth taking them when you really need a perfect draw to benefit from those cards.

Aye I know its Time card, but if you build deck around this card, you're limiting yourself a lot (keeping rewinds/eternity for use on yourself, force playing of cards to be able to draw more etc.) just to MAYBE have a chance of playing a free card. Because, even if you do everything right, you can have 3 of those in starting hand, 2 seperated in the middle by 7 different cards, and 1 at the end, basically making ability worthless.

IMO, you should up the stats or lower the cost of playing the card. Free play is nice, but its really not that powerful considering negative effects you may have depending on the draw.
