In contrast to the nature and divine oriented Gaians who support the living being and their inner spirit, the Cthonics prefer technology and the ability to reforge the material world in lifeless, soulless steel. Likewise, the Gaian Fountain builds upon the foundations of the living creature, while the Cthonic Scrap Forge creates equipment from the wreckage of destroyed creature equipment and permanents. (Note that Cthonic rejects the idea of the spirit entirely, using terms like 'wreckage' and 'soulless'. This alienates the element of , which believes in the ability to desecrate and renanimate spirits.) This card starts with 1 stack. When it has no stacks left, it is destroyed, similar to Bonewall. As Fire is an aggressive element that likes to blow things up, you'll find yourself generating stacks very quickly with this card.
