Similarities to (although several different mechanics):
http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,39022.msg485289.html#msg485289The cost of 6 random quanta offsets the quanta gain, as well as the limitation to the use of the spell Nova and Supernova.
Unupped generates 6 random quanta per turn. Upped generates 9 quanta per turn.
Super nova has to be used the turn after quasar cannon is used as supernova's singularity effect will have been used that turn. Nova can be used once the same turn quasar cannon is used before a singularity is used.
Possible Singularity Rulings:
A) either there can not be more than 2 quasar cannons on the field (3rd and more will break when they are attempted to be used)
b) When more than 2 novas or 1 supernova is used, all cannons turn into singularities
c) Cannons can not exist when a singularity is on the field
d) Cannons that go over the 2 nova or 1 super nova limit will nova but turn into a singularity each
Susceptible to cc, lobo, can be delayed or frozen.
Stats can be changed (both in game or in design)
Randomness of quanta usage to active the card provides for the negative effect of reducing the quanta you need.
Entropy cost is high making it more suited to entropy based rainbow decks (a means of generating quanta after you use the majority of your in deck SN perhaps?)
Can be changed to become a perm. (possibly to avoid overpowered synergy with Shard of readiness, and can be made so that the singularities are formed at the cost of the perm on the field). Below is a version for the purpose of permanency. The effect of the perm version can be applied to the creature, with passive nova creation and the zero cost skill to self destruct.
