this still works quite well against ai3 after the fractal nerf. (ie, drains all  :aether after use)

:D You just gotta love that Fractal.

I think Phase Spider Fractal might still be faster, but after the Fractal nerf I'm not so sure (and Frogtal has an awesome name and it's cheaper. :) )

actually i don't think phase spider + fractal will work anymore. you can play out phase spiders, but as soon as you fractal one you're stuck with a hand full of creatures and no quanta. fractal + ball lightning i think still works though.

I had the spare part for this deck from two other decks so I gave it a try after icybreaker dominated me with it in the war.  I have to say this deck is quite fun.  Going from 5 to 50 damage in one turn is priceless.

Would the above work better, or a life mark and more aether pillars?
And what about feral bonds? We can't forget those.

you know its a rush deck right?
against ai3 it doesnt need healing/shields/or CC
just damage and maybe perm control (like deflag or steal, but life/aether doesnt have that, so this works fine.

I've tried it several ways.  Aether mark and the current pillar setup seems like the most stable build.

I also tried Empathetic bonds, will kill your opponent long before they are really of much use you get maybe 10 or 11 hp from a bond in one turn and after fractal you usually kill your opponent in about 2-3 turns.  If you want healing for EM try two heals in place of two life towers.

What about against AI5/T50?

What level of AI is this against?

Depends, with ~ 2 heals you may be able to EM against AI3 or even top 50.  This deck will take some damage in the 3-4 turns before you can get fractal going.

Wouldn't a couple Bonds be awesome in a cheapey cheap fractal-deck like this one?
