NOTES:
This was previously based on a Seraph, but users responded that the theme and mechanic were somewhat awkwardly placed. I decided gave it the theme of the Solmancer (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,20753.0.html) instead, who uses her power to refract elemental energy into :fire , the energy of the sun.

Overall, it's a decent midhitter for light that works best in a duo with :fire , although clever use with other buff cards could make decent trios as well. The upped intentionally loses 1 HP to prevent Rage Potion abuse.

Anyway, I'd been thinking about what to do with the wonderful piece of art srm359 had drawn for me until I had looked up the Seraphs (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seraph), or "burning ones" and came up with this only to see the above post when I logged back on. ^^;

Although I can already see that Zanz is planning to put a Seraph card of his own in the game, I decided to put this up to see if I could rework the concept into something else. (I'm currently considering switching the name to Gagiel (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gagiel), the angel of Water instead and making the generation effect :water  while changing the art as needed.) Thoughts?

I think? I see where you were trying to go with this.
But the card itself seems very... out there like it was thrown together. Not something you normally produce.

I dunno, I really think the idea here is weak.

Yeah, I discussed it over with some other card designers and they noted that the theme and mechanic kind of had a bit of trouble connecting together. I decided to change the theme entirely while retaining the ability. How does it look now?

No, but buffing it beyond max HP will. (For example blessing generate 3 :fire for giving +3 HP.)

Is there any reason this card would thematically fit better as a Pyromancer than a Solmancer?

(Duo helps to balance out quantum generation. Also, this is an Element with creature healing and HP buffs so it is easier to generate quantum.)

You gain 5 fire quanta, your monster gains 5 attack, and if paired with a fire nypmh, you could just keep on increasing the attack, and it would be self sustainable, thanks to the quanta gain. A bit OP by my standards.

Only the unupped version works with the unupped rage potion and unupped fire nymph. Also, the unupped version requires at least 3 cards to perform the combo and can only do it once per turn provided you only have one angel. Additional rage potions and additional angels means more cards. By the time you've finished focusing on this card entirely, you pretty much have a deck that's probably just as effective as Raging Angels. (Fire Nymph would be expensive and unreliable in this kind of deck by appearing too late to be effective.)

I really like this idea, because (like the new card Seraph) it duos with fire but this time adds some actual value to the Light-side of the deck.

I like the unupped version, 4/6, because it has an obvious synergy with Rage Potion. However in that respect the upped version disappoints because of its lower defence. I might suggest, upped costs 6 :light, and is 5/7 or maybe even 6/7 - I haven't thought about the attack much =p

Yeah, my main concern is that since Solmancer upgraded also gets :fire from a card like Blessing the RagePot potential could be abused too easily if it started with Higher HP. (On the other hand the upped is more expensive and requires 1 more card to pull off the RagePot combo so it might be more balanced than I think it is.)

I'll consider it, though. Added a poll on the subject of the upgraded card.

Considering changing my own vote now! :P

I like the idea of getting :fire from damage. While 7/5 does make Rage Pot initially unavailable, you are also running Light, and funny enough 1 blessing will give you exactly 3 :fire to play a Rage Potion too. It's not as simple as I thought haha.
