NOTES:
Permanent control for Air! Kamikaze sacrifices Sky Guardian and destroys a number of permanents in the target permanent stack equal to its HP at time of death. For example, if the Sky Guardian has 1 HP, it acts exactly like Explosion, but if it has 3 HP, it destroys up to 3 pillars, shards, Bone Wall charges, etc.

For more information on Kamikaze, see here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kamikaze).

We tossed around so many name ideas in Chat including but not limited to: Divine Wind, Dive Bomber, Zephyr, Bomber, Warship, Warbird, Kamikaze, Kamaitachi, Air Guardian, Air Warrior, Wind Warrior, Warrior Bird ... I hope I chose the best ones.

Interesting :air / :earth combos...

But for 4 :air and 1 :earth, I can destroy 7 pillars at once. I just can't see this as balanced.

nerf heavy armor. 2 op

Seriously though, 5 :air, 1 :earth, 1 turn, and 2 cards to destroy 7 pillars? Considering that the opponent will rarely have more than 3 in a stack early-game, when it matters most? I really don't see that as being overpowered.

I meant the unupped.

5 :air, 1 :earth, 1 turn, 2 cards to destroy 8 pillars? Explosion already had a nerf, and for 6 quanta, 2 cards, and MONO, it destroys 2 pillars. Earthquake, the card whose balance is already in question, destroys 6 pillars for 4 :earth, is a mono, and requires 2 cards.

You're not exactly asking for much when you put this combo in your deck.

Besides, this targets Shards, Bone Wall, as well as pillars.

Hang on a moment.

Unupped:

4 :air + 1 :earth + 1 turn + 2 cards (DUO) = 4 pillars destroyed (in same stack).
3 :earth + 1 card (MONO) = 3 pillars destroyed (in same stack).

Partially upped:

4 :air + 1 :earth + 1 turn + 2 cards (DUO) = 7 pillars destroyed (in same stack).
4 :earth + 2 cards (MONO) = 6 pillars destroyed (in same or separate stacks).

Upped:

5 :air + 1 :earth + 1 turn + 2 cards (DUO) = 8 pillars destroyed (in same stack).
4 :earth + 2 cards (MONO) = 6 pillars destroyed (in same or separate stacks).

I'm afraid I simply don't see the problem. In that 1 turn the opponent can kill/freeze/delay/lobotomize/etc. the creature, and generate a turn's worth of quanta, whereas Earthquake is instant. I think Earthquake easily overshadows this.

Though looking at the above figures, I think the upped version may be a bit weak. -1 cost decrease?

Very nice analysis. I suppose one of the bonuses to this card is that it can smash shards.

The fact that can destroy shards as wel makes it very powerful. With just two cards you can take out an entire pile of shards! I love it!
Never was a fan of shards realy. Seems cool. But the upped one seems a bit OP. killing 2 pillars/ shards with just  :air? I don't know about that.
Aside from that, I love the kamezase mecanic. Maybe you can create a simillar card that does dammage to creatures this way? That would be cool.

I don't think it's OP, since even if you can destroy 8 pillars, if you let your opponent gather 8 pillars you already failed your denial deck.
Trident is more powerful than this (at destroying), and noone thinks Trident is OP.

I like it, but i'm not sure about the upped. Maybe multiple destructions should requires a duo (like trident) or a combo.

I do not think the effect is OP. I think the OPness is abaut it being only a mono  :air card.
You compared it yourself with posseidon which is a duo card.
And since it can destroy shards, it can be played in a control/ counter-stall strategy other than in a denial deck.
that should also be considered.

Since the bird is sacrificed it is a one use ability. Earthquake is the proper comparison not Trident.

Currently it is subpar to earthquake versus pillar stacks. However it is better against other stacks and can be used to destroy non stack permanents.

Verdict: balanced as expected.
