I had both luck and strategy here this time. I went 42-8 using this deck on pvp 1.
Some of you may notice i changed my avatar from devourer to liquid shadow. While using this deck i realized how great liquid shadow was. I only used it in the liquid antimatter deck theonlyrealbeef had made, which was a very good idea. Darkness has always been my favorite element and its probably why i took so long to submit this. I was toying around with many decks. First i tried making a parasite deck. Then a gargoyle+liquid shadow. Then a dragon+liquid shadow. Afterwards, i made a dragon and devourer deck. I tried working in some extra cards(nightfall, drain life, steal, cloak, dusk mantle, dagger, shard of void) and i didnt really like it. Finally, i went back to my dragon+liquid shadow idea and got it to work. I made this simple deck above. It was really just using liquid shadow on dragons. However, i found many more uses for it. I could use it on cards like lycanthrope, forest spirit, fire spirit, lava golem, and steam machine before they used their abilities. It also worked against otyugh. I also used math at some times to find which time to use my liquid shadow on my dragon. The two big weaknesses for this deck were the opponent using creature control and this deck not having permanent control. Freeze could really screw up dragons with liquid shadow since they are poisoned, and dimensional shields can do the same so i have to be careful fighting aether. Also, permanent control could get rid of the dusk mantle that in many cases saves the game for me. Luck also came into play. More than once I had RNG come into play and win it for me. One game i was playing a fractal pest deck and managed to get out 2 dragons before he got his quanta denial started. I couldnt play dragons but i could play liquid shadow. He put up his dusk mantle and started playing dragons. I had luck on my side here. I liquid shadow'd my dragons and managed to get many hits on him. I was hanging in there. In the end, he drained one of my dragons and the other one had 1 hp left and was poisoned. He had 3 hp and a dusk mantle up. He fractal'd dragons and i was going to lose next turn. long story short, i had a fifty/fifty chance of winning. And luck was on my side and i won.
I had a lot of fun with this, and really like the liquid shadow card now. Real simple deck here.
