It has many uses including situationally advantageous flexible quanta generation.  The unupgraded one can be used for mana conversion in creature heavy decks containing 2 or more elements, while the upgraded one shines in rainbows and with Novas.  It also serves as a soft counter to Discord! 8) SERIES:

There's a lot of these, seeing as everybody's entering that contest. Howabout it generates quanta of the opposing element? Like, if you target a Blue Crawler, it generates  .

But that may be redundant with something else. Check.

I haven't seen a card like this one yet, I think I looked at all the submissions, but maybe I missed one.  Unfortunately the search function is down.  Links to similar cards?

I can't find the link right off, but I remember a certain card in the Armory or somewhere like that called Balance. If my memory serves, which it most likely doesn't, it uses quanta from the alternate element.

As for the submissions, I didn't see any either. But then, I didn't check very thoroughly.

Looked through Crucible, Forge and Armory some, this is the closest thing I found: http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,21493.0.html

This card is meant to be a risky generator, since there has to be a targetable creature of the right element for it to be beneficial.  If you can keep it going, it pays out, but it's not going to replace Rustler.  The idea was to create new duo/trio engines and provide more a stable quanta base.

After discussing it with some people and thinking over it, the upgraded one is a bit too powerful.  Which do you like best?



Or should it just cost 1 less than the unupped?

IMHO, it should just cost 1 less than the unupped. 1 quantum for two feels like a good balance.

Hm, so between 0 : Generate 1 and 1 : Generate 2, you don't think one is more powerful than the other?  I've been considering it and it seems like each has its advantage.
