Sheut (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Egyptian_soul#Sheut_.28shadow.29) is one of the five parts of the Egyptian soul (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Egyptian_soul). It corresponds to the shadow and was represented as a servant of Anubis. Ib (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Egyptian_soul#Ib_.28heart.29) is another of the five parts of the Egyptian soul (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Egyptian_soul). It corresponds to the heart and was examined by Anubis during the Weighing of the Heart ceremony. Entity having lost their bodies can fit quite well in aether. As servant of Anubis, whose power is activated by aether, it re-enforce the idea association. Finally, their ability is triggered by time tightening them to Anubis in a strong manner. Repose: traps the target permanent into a time bubble for 1 turn. Their abilities (actively or passively triggered) cannot be used (this is also true for nightfall, flooding, empathic bond, etc ...). Weapons do not attack. Shields do not defend. However, the artefact only is delayed not the slot. If the weapon (or shield) is replaced then the effect disappears. The permanents having a time counter (like sundial, dim shield, cloak, etc ...) loose their ability (stall, shield, invisibility, etc...) for one turn but the counter does not decrease. When a pillar stack is targeted, only one pillar is delayed. A pillar stack can be targeted by multiple reposers (Sheut, Ib or a mutant with the ability) and the corresponding number of pillars/pendulums will be delayed. I realise that ... I just found it was sounding good with the chain on the picture and all. My English is kind of not excellent. So if you have a better word for the ability I'll take. The first which comes to mind is "delay" or "stall" but it sounds a bit trivial. What do you think?

It is indeed much cheaper but

My version is a duo whereas yours is a mono.Yours delays for two turns whereas mine delays for one.Yours stacks mine doesn't.Your creature has much higher stats than mine ...

About the stats you might notice that Sheut | Ib has the same stats as Mind Flayer | Ulitharid. Such creatures do not exist in aether yet.

Paralysis isn't great either, as we're talking bout permanents. Bind or Disable would work.

What about repose (or rest)? It sounds like a spirit could repose. It is close to the death idea and it carries a stalling notion ...
Another idea would be stun. It also has to do with the brain and a delay ...

ETG would be a lot cooler with a ability called 'prevaricate'. Then I could go around with a paper Sheut card that I printed out and yell PREVARICATE at people. *Laugh*

Currently I like Snoweb's "Repose" name the most. It seems to fit well with the card.
