Wow.. just.. wow.

After reading the last one by Silkenfist (yeah, I started from the end for some reason), I'm guessing this will be another jmizzle7 vote, maybe even worse. :)

Yeah, Silkenfist's is... epic. :D

But it's too long; it's called a "short" story for a reason. Many of these are quite long. But everyone did a great job. This contest was fun.

Do we not get a top-three in this one?

Don't we all?
Literally? :D

Anyways, only 10 people actually submitted, so choosing 3 might not be able to give as clear winners.
Compare this to the dozens of people who submitted in the "make-your-card" competition. THEY can choose 3 winners simply because of the huge sample size.

DAMN IT!!!

OK, now I've got yout attention with the big red font. I only use big red fonts when I have something I REALLY want to be heard.

In the original story contest thread, it says that my story is still not finished. Truth was, I finished my story last night when there were still 6 hours left. However, just when I was about to edit in my finished story, an unimaginable thing happened: The forums were temporarily down, probably because SG was implementing the new Karma system. I was unable to submit my finished story, even though the contest still had more than 6 hours left. You ask why? Because that time was around 11:00 PM in Vancouver, and I had to go to sleep. I'm here now, but the thread is closed; I can no longer edit my post in that thread.

http://www.kongregate.com/forums/22-elements/topics/74573-elements-a-short-story (http://www.kongregate.com/forums/22-elements/topics/74573-elements-a-short-story)
Before I went to sleep, I submitted my story on Kongregate. You can see that I wasn't lying and I really did finish the story in time, because you can see the time when I submitted that post: right now it says 18 hours ago.
Oh, right... I can't prove that I didn't edit. Darn it... Stupid Kongregate forum, not displaying if the post had been edited or not...

So my question is this: Can someone find my story post in the contest thread, and put my finished story in? If this is against the rules, then I will forfeit: an unfinished entry is worse than no entry. I will only be annoyed that a chunk of my imagination had gone to waste.

Not too many people are voting. The votes are very close right now. No wonder, not a lot of people would bother taking half an hour reading those "short" stories, except the authors and the admins I guess.

Only one vote per person?

OK, if my story is not updated by tomorrow, I will remove the unfinished half from the contest thread. This is completely and totally unfair: SG just happened to take down the forum for maintainence.

And you just happened to miss the deadline because you didn't post early enough.

If your story was really that good, then post it in the next competition and stop whining.
