NOTE: outdated thread is outdated.
Recommended unupped fg farmer: Liquid Antimatter (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,17730) 17.6% normalized win rate
SGbow's doesn't make up for it's sloth with a measly +0.8% win rate :P

I've heard a lot of talk about unupped fg farming being bad, it's not worth it, you need to spend hours of lousy ai3 farming first to get your 6 upgrades, and t50 to get the required rares. I want to prove this wrong, I'll be running tests with completely unupgraded decks that have only 1 rare weapon at most. So that newbs can get to fg farming right after 500 score! Or so to speak. I'll be running 200 games with each viable deck to start with, so far these are on my list:

I'll post normalized win rates as I get them.

Fire Lance Sudden Killer* unupgraded could work very well

heres a decklist given your restriction :-

Code: [Select]
5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f4 5f4 5f4 5f4 5f4 5f4 5gi 5gi 5gi 5gi 5lg 5mq 61o 61o 61o 61t 61t 61t 61t 61t 61t 61u
i prefer lobotomizer instead of fahrenheit because it can deal with some threats against this deck
2 upgraded would be better, and best of all, this deck work exceptionally good with just 2~4 upgrades (SoGs and 2 lobo)

Made this a while ago. Not sure about the win rate though, since I never did any extensive testing with it.
Firefly / Hope by me, I guess. Should work theoretically, and did beat few FGs with it.

Re: Sudden Fire Bolt Killer

Shouldn't the Light Pendulum be replaced by a Nova.  You don't need additional :light, and if it were drawn last the Pendulum does nothing for you.

Also, you get 1 :fire with a Nova. ;)

only on the rarest occasion
it was actually a copy from the upgraded decklist which i modified
pendulums work better since you get additional :aether which is always great

I've already tried a few with the fire lance deck games, and usually my hand is just too small. I want to keep dim shields, reflective shields and fire bolts all in the same hand, and am forced to place dim shields too early and not have enough Fire Quanta for the kill when I run out...

The SGbow seems to go through very fast. Would it work to increase everything proportionally?

You could use some other stuff in your Liquid Antimatter deck.

Liquid antimatter actually runs pretty well, it's like a more stable version of nymphomania except it also loses more often. SGBow is still my favorite unupped FG deck though.

I'm a noob and even SGBow worked for me.

The Fire Bolt deck isn't that good and I mostly die before I finish the FG off.
After 5 battles the lowest I got the FG to is around 10+ HP.

i guess you need to learn how to use it well
the key is getting 113 fire quanta before you deckout
this means you need to survive for as many turns as possible before starting the dimension shield chain
reflective shield is only necessary against FG with reflective-like shield themselves

bad luck comes from not drawing dimension shield when you need it (i.e. breaking the chain) or drawing too many firebolt and too little pillar early on
i dont know about you guys but the deck works fine for me even unupped, upgraded, it has even less towers (to make room for SoGs) so i dont get how you cant get enough fire quanta to TKO the FG
