NOTES:

Basically the card would only allow creatures to be played during their season. This would limit how many creatures both you and your opponent might be able to play. For example, if you are mono Darkness and your opponent is Mono Gravity, your opponent will not be able to play creatures until it becomes Fall, 3 turns away.



* Old Rules:
1. If reverse time is played the season goes back one step.
2. Only 1 "Four Seasons" may be in play at a time.
3. If an opponent plays Four Seasons and you already have one in play, yours is removed and the seasons restart based on your opponent's mark.
 * V.2

a) Pictures updated to include elements that belong to each season.
b) Description/Text slightly altered and makes 4 turn length explicit.
c) Cost increased to 6/5 (of the same element)
d) Rules changed as described below.


Rules:

1. Four seasons last 4 turns, 1 season per turn and then expires (disappears).
2. If another four seasons is played, it synchs(begins) on the season of the current four season in play. It lasts 4 turns from initial play. (in this way you can play all of your 4 season at once, if you wanted but without reverting the seasons to your mark's season over and over)

P.S: Apologies for the poor gif quality on the new pics. Gimp optimized it and by the time it made it to imageshack it was hurt by background color similarities. I will upload a larger, clearer version if this makes it past crucible.

how do you intend to tell people which season belongs to which element? Maybe add each element icon to each respective picture?

oh that is a good idea. Somehow I just assumed people would remember them... Where would I add them in? Something similar to Ash or an alchemy spell where it is blended in to the picture? Or on the top right corner or something?

I am going to wait as I anticipate debate about which element belongs to what season...

Cool! :)) I thought of the elements per seasons and ended up with the same set up as yours.
I like the idea but I think the effect, or ruling, is OP with Eternity. Always rewind one of your own creatures and don't let the opponent get to their season. Total creature control.

What do people think of changing the ability to something else? Maybe creatures are 1 quanta cheaper in your season? Or maybe some kind of buffing? +1/+1 or +0/+3?

Scorps would work nice with +1/+1 and wouldnt be op because it would only be 1 of 4 turns scorps could attack...

I think you matched the seasons and the elements perfectly.

What happens when Four seasons gets played by another player or a second copy by yourself? unless they synchronise no creatures could be played

it says in the notes that only 1 can be at play at a time.

If your opponent plays it, yours is removed and it restarts on the mark of your opponent. If you play it twice, the first is replaced.

Maybe changing the effect to -2 cost if it is your season and +1 cost if it is not your season or something like that, if you don't want to change the ruling of rewind. Really don't know.

what about not only when you play your creature. but when you play spell, permanent and even when you use your creature (or permanent) ability.

maybe it's can help your rewind case?

Great card idea, but...

  • I think like pendulum switches between 2 elements this should switch between all 12, while only change the element icon´s surroundings according to the 4 seasons
  • The "Four seasons" card shouldn´t be destroyed if your opponent or you play another one, but set to the player´s element and restart it´s cyclus from there on.
  • 4/3 is too cheap. This is a great counter against Mono-decks, it should at least be 6/5.

btw: I really like this. It´d make  :time as strong as it never has been...
