The shield, being the basic shield without requirement, needs very low energy requirement and has very lower stat, reduction of 1 damage for every attack. It is generally not recommended to use the non-upgraded shield as normally shields for certain elements are available in bazaar.

The upgraded shield is similar to titanium shield but uses 5 random energy, making it a fairly viable choice with rainbow rush decks.
