Dagger

|
The dagger, a perfect example of a sneaky tool to catch your opponent off guard. For no quanta whatsoever, an elemental may pull out a dagger or dirk and deal 2, or 4 if upgraded, damage per turn. If such an elemental has a mark of death or darkness, the damage increases by one. While an extremely cheap weapon that can fit into nearly any deck, dagger and dirk are also overshadowed by much better cards. Short sword merely costs one more quanta, but does noticeable more damage than dagger or dirk. It's ability also harms it, as players with darkness or death marks will often be using decks that contain those elements, and a vampire stiletto or arsenic are better. Both the weapons of darkness and death are extremely cheap, costing no more than 2 quanta, and they have effects that involve draining or poisoning the opponent. The cheapness of Dagger simply cannot compare. However, if one is using a death or darkness deck and is missing an arsenic or stiletto, then the dagger can be used as a crutch to fill out the weapon slot until those are acquired.
