This is what I would do for each element:
15 pillars
3 alchemy cards
3 shields
3 of one creature
3 of another creature
3 of a different card
All mono.
I think we should go with these, just to tweak it a little more:
how about:
15 pillars
2 alchemy cards
2 shields
3 of a creature
2 of another creature
2 dragons
3 of a spell
1 short sword/hammer
This way each deck has everything.
It has:
pillars
shiels
weapons
creatures
spells
I'm going to work this decks out.
This is exactly how we need to do this. Instead of coming up with different kinds of deck almost by random, we need a
system which we will then use for ALL decks. This way the decks almost build themselves.
Here's my version of it:
12 x Pillars
3 x cheap creatures (without abilities)
3 x creatures with abilities
3 x Dragons
2 x shield
2 x alchemy cards (bottles/vials)
2 x permanents/spells
2 x spells
1 x Short Sword/Hammer
Using the formula above, here's the
deck:
4t4 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bt 5bt 5bt 5bu 5bu 5bu 5c1 5c1 5c1 5c2 5c2 5c4 5c4 5c6 5c6 5c7 5c7
And here's the
deck:
4t4 5l8 5l8 5l8 5l8 5l8 5l8 5l8 5l8 5l8 5l8 5l8 5l8 5l9 5l9 5l9 5la 5la 5la 5lb 5lb 5lb 5lc 5lc 5ld 5ld 5lf 5lf 5lj 5lj
This way there is no need for thinking what the individual decks should look like. Just use the formula and the deck builds itself in about a minute.
I will also remind everyone that these starting decks are not supposed to be good decks. They are just a start. You will make them good with those 10 extra cards plus the ones you buy/salvage.
