Cities and Towns:
Outlaw City

I need ideas on what is happening in Outlaw City. Here are a couple of ideas:

- Outlaw City is neutral zone (no battles)
- Arena (join fast mini-tournaments and win cash)
- Black Market (buy "illegal" cards)

illegal cards could simply be rare cards.

Or... it could be some sort of out-of-game equipment card that you could use in a certain match.

For instance, one card could say "you can only lose in the match by deckout" or something like that.

WoE powerups
- stables
  -gain 2 more action points everyturn for the next 3 turns
  -automaticaly move towords a predef. destination
- pillager army
  -gain 2 more electrum every turn you:
    -flee
    -move
    -preform an aggresive attack
-reflexes
  -move 2 sqares per turn for 5 turns
- poisoning medicine
  -enter the next battle with:
    -8 unremovable poison damage
    -200 HP
    -3 marks
- upperhand
  -win the next 10 coinflips
    -canceled if
      -the other player has it
      -you defend
      -you have any other powerups

i would assume the illegal cards are cards you already have the max amount your allowed to have of them? or even shards?
and considering its an outlaw city, why not throw in a slave market? also, if you do this, the slave can only die once, and if he/she dies, there is no respawn point, youll have to rebuy them at the town you purchased them at in the first place. or they go to a random outlaw city? these are all just ideas

Hmmm, the Outlaw city should be a place to gain intel.  If you go there, you might find out how to get a quest, or discover the location of a random enemy.  You'll just be filled in on the gossip of the town.

E.G.  "Oi!  Welcome to me bar, sit down an' 'ave a drink, eh?  Ya know, if you stay quiet enough, you jus' migh' hear somethin' worth knowin'.  Rumor 'as it _______________________"

Outlaw City

I need ideas on what is happening in Outlaw City. Here are a couple of ideas:

I think that having it be a neutral zone is the best idea, as it allow those from the 'Other' elemental players to kind of get to know each other/make alliances/do trading and other actions without getting assaulted by stronger armies. It should be a place where you can breathe a breath of fresh air, plan your next move, and take a break from the game without having your army being forced around via the Stay + Flee actions (assuming players are continuously attacking you, they can't do it in this town).

The Arena and Black Market should be areas given to the Omniton or another town from 'Other', because I assume that a sanctuary for all players wouldn't accept illegal gambling/trades within the vicinity, but due to politics and whatnot, they can't just destroy their other towns (no pun intended).



A few ideas I also had:
-What if getting into Outlaw City was the 'first' objective of winning WoE? I thought there should be a semi-generic questline that involves you, an elemental player, to conquer all the Wonders/capture a certain amount of cities/do whatever in order to win the game, and when that happens, you get a trophy, special prizes, and some other rewards for being a WoE champion.

-Outlaw City can still be a neutral zone, but you can 'duel' armies to see and understand strategies in deck-building. This is a form of intel - you're working with another player to (potentially) work out a strategy against your own or another element you want to take down, and can support the alliances in WoE

-"Forum" Quests: Imagine being in a town full of people who are either poor, injured/diseased, or otherwise troubled with varying problems. We could have several NPCs that give you very small tasks that involve the forum (say, an artist NPC who's not sure about what to paint for a dying friend/ ( :life) card idea, you can find/create new art that will award you a little electrum or another benefit for you). When you post the card idea ON THE FORUM for the quest organizer to see and link it to the Card Art section, you could potentially solve multiple problems by bringing the community together different forum sections.

This way, people who are limited or are too shy to join certain areas (Deckbuilding, A.I. strategy, Off-topic, Design Theory, etc.), can be given an opportunity to explore these areas and themselves within the WoE. :)

...but again, just my two cents. :P

Wow, that's an awesome idea. It's like "storyline quests" in MMO's. We should definitely have that, although I'm not sure if we can pull it off. :)

I have to start a new topic about that.

I think that your two cents is worth a lot more than that. These are really good ideas. I have another example:

A small fire is raging through through the town. The town needs water to save them. Create a mono-water (+other) deck that can defeat a level 3 AI

...or something like that, to promote deckbuilding. Just my idea :)
