Vs.  :life would be ideal.

About salvage: I'd like to salvage 3PUs. The rest should be dims.
Discard: We have 2 options. One, we discard the light cards and will never be able to play that deck again. Second, we discard the water half and we will have the light half in our vault, although we may not want to play the deck again. In this case they would be dead cards.
We must consider both options. Me, I'd like to discard the light half. IMO we would be much less flexible if we discarded important  :water cards (backbone of all our decks) than if we discarded a single deck.

Don't forget that we can convert up to 24 cards into pillars. We used this extensively last war to keep our vault working; of course, lower discards and higher vault size made it easier, but we can still convert useless salvages and cards that we don't really need that much of.

for some reason or anothe,r I cannot connect to quakenet. I will try again tomorrow.

To summarize what we've been talking about today, as well as my ideas:

:water water1 - :gravity
speedpoison. I doubt they can counter that. Also ignores grvaity pull.

:water water2 - :air
Dunno, maybe RT?

:water water3 - :darkness
someone suggested Valkyr but I dislike it. 1, it is slow to set-up which is risky vs. devourer and 2, it is perma-dependant which is a no-no vs. Steal.
I'd rather play a tikobow here.

:water water4 - :light
My idea is some generic water rush with toads upped crawlers and the like.

:water water5 - :death
This is hard. I really dunno.

:water water6 - :time
I would play a generic water rush with discords off the mark.

:water water7 - :aether
Aether cards are genetally expensive ones. I suggested a trident/EQ deck. That can take care of bonebolt as well. It is important that the deck functions with 6 HP creatures (crawlers dragons) so the general or lieutenant should play this.

:water water8 - :life
My suggestion is a wingsdeck (no need to upgrasde them) with squids to freeze dragons. Naturally, the rest of the deck would consist of toads EEs etc.

Ok, I put up 6 decks, based on Acs list, please tell me what you think of these, and the opponents they are listed too.

If you like one, claim it, test it, balance it (haven't done much of quanta balance yet), and maybe it will be your deck (and opponent) for this round.
for some reason or anothe,r I cannot connect to quakenet. I will try again tomorrow.

To summarize what we've been talking about today, as well as my ideas:

:water water1 - :gravity
speedpoison. I doubt they can counter that. Also ignores grvaity pull.
Done, added some crawlers for damage (first had puffers, but this works faster)

:water water2 - :air
Dunno, maybe RT?
How about the firebasher: it deals with wings (air knows we don't have many creatures), with CC and with stalls, only problem I can think of is a fast novagrabby that might outrush it.

:water water3 - :darkness
someone suggested Valkyr but I dislike it. 1, it is slow to set-up which is risky vs. devourer and 2, it is perma-dependant which is a no-no vs. Steal.

Nothing here yet

:water water4 - :light
My idea is some generic water rush with toads upped crawlers and the like.
Rush with some cheap slow down (freezes), something more advanced (ice bolts) and some reliable slow down (squids)

:water water5 - :death
This is hard. I really dunno.
Nothing yet

:water water6 - :time
I would play a generic water rush with discords off the mark.
I took Rav's stripped Nymphcord here.

:water water7 - :aether
Aether cards are genetally expensive ones. I suggested a trident/EQ deck. That can take care of bonebolt as well. It is important that the deck functions with 6 HP creatures (crawlers dragons) so the general or lieutenant should play this.
Did just that. But yes Rav, you have to play this one to unleash it's full potential.

:water water8 - :life
My suggestion is a wingsdeck (no need to upgrasde them) with squids to freeze dragons. Naturally, the rest of the deck would consist of toads EEs etc.
I took the wings, but I think them using upgraded will help against the really fast rushes life has, same goes for the fogs. That does require it to be played by Jappert though, but I guess it can work with just 3 upgraded wings. Also, I decided to take lots of permanents just to counter pc they might use, also as Rav pointed out, he is expecting a few decks from willing, (see chat log) and the combination of these permanents can counter it. Sadly, it will likely lose badly against their gruesome firestall.

Ok, I filled the remaining decks, all pick a deck and test it, and then test it more.

For the darkness deck, we might need to do some shuffling around, for example, take out all the air permanents (we might be facing steals). But that would take out even more of the damage, so we need the deck to pack some punch. Maybe swapping to a mark of fire and taking another steamie could fix that though.

Ok, because no one seems to be actually testing, I decided to do it the harsh way, I put all the decks in the QI-tool, and tweaked the quanta balance accordingly. Here are the PROPOSED new decks, with their (usefull) quanta indexes, and (if present) the old deck in a spoiler below (with the old quanta index).
Now, time to do some real testing. Try out both decks, and see if you agree with the change (did the old version really have not enough/too much quanta). Just a warning, I won't be online at the time of the deadline.

I didn't get to test my deck alot but from what I've seen (tested 10 matches only) it works VERY well. At first sight I wanted to remove some air cards but the mark helps alot in getting stable quanta.

Somehow I'd like to use an OE upped and maybe remove one wing shield? They might be packing explosions btw :( Some kind of mitophoenix deck...
