As Higurashi said it: ~"Being admin is service to users" and ~"if community wants, I can resign".
Since there is quite loud crowd suggesting resignation, would you, Higurashi, resign from being admin? Or is there not enough "votes"? Like ~40% wants you to resign, but that is not enough? How about ~70% of these posts? What would be enough for your call? Admin not trusted (no matter what %), is no longer service for community (during WAR at least), but a burden as we can read from here.
Removing admin rights is technically nothing but button clicks. It is not even penalty from cheating, just practicality for forum maintenance. Those can be granted back too - say, after this WAR is over?
Resigning from WAR is however personal penalty, which is simple and fair solution. This is just a game, and you have participated for many WARs earlier and won, so one should be able to accept that fate as such. Absolutely no reason to continue at this point. It clears the air, so to speak.
I expect the problem here we see next is that Higurashi doesn't want to lose the high position held in this community (Ego). If someone doesn't believe in cheating, you can witness the damage done, which has to be handled too - in this case same way, so no difference. More explanations about bugs and promises will follow, denial about cheating, which keeps going on and on, and then other's feeling bad (Sympathy) about the growing pressure against Higurashi, and saying that removing admin rights are too much. Why is it too much? It is not the penalty part.
Ego and sympathy aside. It is just button click, and can be restored if wanted. Higurashi won't do it, so other admins needs to do it. One click, and community and WAR can move on.
There is no need for other Warblind admins either. Few buttons clicks, temporarily down to moderators or so, and that is also solved too, unless being admin is too precious for personal egos (This all sounds really provocative, sorry about that, but can't say it otherwise). Isn't it enough for each of you being part of WAR team, and therefore getting your acceptance being great part of the community.
I'm not active member as such, and I understand there is lot drama just for entertainment sake in this forum, but it may also hide big ego's behind and friendship dictates things here too. Just observations and apologies if this was bad writing - it might be.
In last, I want to thank all admins and WarMasters for their "services to users" from all years, including Higurashi, thank you, stay in community, but don't get overly attached to titles (and access rights behind those). This is about community, not admins themselves.
