I just counted 54 applications so far, which isn't enough for even 11 teams let alone 12. I know there are couple of days left still, but it maybe time to think about what will happen if there are not enough players to field 12 teams...

perhaps how about changing a role in addition, if teams are uneven or you want 6, have each team make 1 soldier play 2 matches???

I actually am wondering that having to buy one less player is beneficial or bad or neutral for a team.

The first thing that comes into one's mind is that there are one less teamamte to help with decks, testing etc.
On the other hand 5 should be enough for that, and the team will have more cards left after the auction.

For the sake of fairness, if there are not enough applicants, all teams should be reduced to 5 members, IMHO.

Low applicant numbers force Generals to fight for veterans, so they cannot afford to bid on unknown players, who remain without bids. This could be fixed by raising the limit on the number of players a General can bid on, e.g. from 15 to 20.

Personally, I think number of members for war needs to be reduced based on applicants. Current 60 players in teams with barely more than 60 applicants might sounds nice in theory with everyone getting a spot in war, but when some applicants clearly don't have enough time (after posting application, always happens) to dedicate for war it might be an idea to have a certain percentage of people not participate in war regardless of whether there are "just enough", just my observation from almost half the players going for 14 cards by the time auction ends if it keeps up like this :p (example suggestion being 15%)

To prevent the auction taking so long, in Brawl we limit the bosses by prohibiting bidding in players if they are already leading in the max amount of players the team can have.
Consider something like this if you want a quicker auction process.

ok restarting the auction is out of the question but i think a reconsidering of how and when bids can be placed ought to be taking into account for next war maybe something similar to brawl where you can only bid if you don't have the highest bid on a full team it would certainly prevent masses of troll bids and the 14 club will be greatly reduced so it will be of value in the future.

A high minimum raise (7 atm) prevents some new players from getting a bid. Could something be done about this?
