14*5 = 70 != 80.

Yes, absolutely necessary to point out.

    IMHO, raising max bid to 24 while keeping vault size at 300 would have the following effect:

    • Prolong the already long auction
    Well maybe, with a few days
    • Further cripple the vaults of all teams
    Is this a problem? At least good bidding strategies would actually have some impact. I think with the current rules, getting the cheap guys for 1-3 cards is totally not worth it. All you can spare is about 1 deck's worth of cards, which is not much of a comfort if your team is 80% newb. As of the current rules, big spenders will have to work with a significantly reduced vault which is fine IMO. This effect would be further empashized if the max bid were 24.
    • Result in similar number of 24-bids as we now have 14-bids with some slight variations on team assignment
    No, I don't think so. If not for the small amount of applicants, this craziness wouldnt have happened. 14 is pushing it IMO; even if it were possible I wouldn't expect more than a handful of 24s.

    Maximum total bid budget is actually a good idea! Instead of the maximum 15 players to bid on, we could have a number, let's say maximum 100 (the actual number would need to be refined) to bid in total without any limit on how many players we spend it on. Currently, we could bid 15 x 14 cards and create silly situations.

    The total bid sum limit would encourage to spread the bids out and balance few expensive versus many small bids. This is something to be considered for the next war.

    If anything this bidding phase will be one to remember for ages so all is good!  One thing WM's need to adress though is what will happen if multiple teams end up without a complete roster?  Will the WM's give a random order of draw for the remaining players?  Or maybe have some way to sort these teams like the cheapeast average team picks first (or last)?  This might change how a few teams act during the overtime that could be the last.

    Quick question about the war spoils. Under #2.4: "The War Spoils for each team are visible to everyone at all points throughout the first 8 Rounds of War."
    Does it simply shows the cards that each team picked from matches or does it fully revealed all cards (taking any spoils transmutation that was made)?

    Also, any war betting this time - official/non-official? ;D

    Don't want to be pushy, but I'm still wondering about my previous question.

    No definite answer for your previous question yet.

    Spoils are fully revealed, including transmutations.

    Ok, so I got to thinking, since you cannot transmute to cards over 6 I was wondering how the sequence for Transmuting/Discarding/Salvaging was.

    To make my problem more clear, let's come with an example illustrating the different possibilities:
    Spoiler for rather long example:
    Say we're in round 3 deckbuilding, round 2 just ended, I'm on team water.
    Team water had 5 Floodings in their vault during round 2, they went 3-3 during duels.
    One of the decks that lost has them discarding 2 Floodings.
    One of the decks they beat has them salvaging 3 Floodings.
    Team water wants to know how many Floodings they can transmute:
    • 0. Discarding -> Salvaging -> Transmuting.
      After Water discards 2 Floodings and salvages 3 they have 6, which means they may transmute no more.
    • 1. Transmuting -> Discarding -> Salvaging.
      Water had 5 Floodings last round so they may transmute salvage into 1.
    • 2. you don't know wtf I am talking about and give me this bs answer.
    • 3. Discarding -> Transmuting -> Salvaging.
      After Water discards 2 Floodings they have 3, meaning they may transmute to up to 3. After that they are free to salvage however much they want, including those 3 I mentioned earlier which would result to them having 9 in the end.
    Although not the most likely situation this can happen. I know the team it happens to would prefer the last option, but it's also the one most prone to give you a penalty (one I prefer to avoid by asking for clarification beforehand)
