Yeah not that i mind VMs laboring extra rule clearance. in fact it is generally amusing to have the chance of making fun of people in charge.

But this sort of discussions creates a tendency to be overly argumentative against VMs and each other on every occasion. The fog of frequent discussions make it hard to determine if a discussion really makes sense or not. Then comes the chaos and people hurt each others feelings. This makes people furious and mad and sometimes berserk. Then we will have to organise real life gatherings in which we will have to wear medieval armors or barbarian outfits and ensue sword battles to the death. This would shrink the size of our community and the number of war applications are already declining.

The rules have been updated. 14 card bids may be placed by any general, regardless of the previous bid or elemental favoritism. 14 cards bids may not be placed on anyone who has accepted a 14 card bid, or if your element is banned.

Since vault management will be done via forum posts, are there any specific format to follow? Something like those 'templates' we had during the earlier wars.

Just to add, I hope antiaverage (or anyone else with the sufficient knowledge and authority) could fix the forum soon; or updating war stuff will be sux...

What if you bid 14 on 6 or more players, and they all choose your team? Is it the first 5 to commit to the team, or does the general get to pick his top 5?

Seeing as player are added to teams (ie given access to secret sections) when they accept a max bid, it has to be the first 5 to accept.

So, if I went and placed a bid of 14 on all the players I've bid on so far, I don't get to choose my team? But if the bids were 13, then I do get to choose? That makes absolutely no sense.

And why would you give access to secret sections before auction is over?

Because it gives players and admins an opportunity to detect and correct issues before the teams need those sections or post team-sensitive information there.  For example, the extremely honest Master of Air created a thread in Team Death's secret section when he discovered he had access to that section.  Higs fixed it, and all is well--which might not have been the case had the sections been created and assigned after Auction.

If a player gets bid on 14 cards, he or she has two options:
1. Instantly join the team that made the 14 card bid.

That's the way the rules have been for quite a while (excluding the obvious change of max bid to 14). The theory, which has been somewhat broken by the goings-on of this particular auction, is that you'd only bid the maximum on players that you really, really want on your team. Yes, if more than 5 players want to accept your 14 card bid then you won't get to pick your team, but that's a situation that's just not meant to happen. The easiest solution is to not place 14 card bids on players you don't 100% want on your team.

It's obvious the auction's gotten out of hand here, but without restarting it all with a fresh set of rules, there's nothing we can really do about it.
