Round 8 spoils choices (2:1 and the like) are actually "part of Round 9" I think.  Hence, round 8 as of now has already concluded so no "end of Round 8" standings' changes.  Does that 'sound right'??

Now that I'm home and I actually have a chance to look at the EC and matchups...good god. I didn't realize dominating the first 8 rounds would put you at a disadvantage. Kind of wish we would have just forfeited all of our matches the last 2-3 rounds...

Not only do the final four rules heavily favor fewer matches being played, the R9 EC further penalizes teams with more matches. Plus, we face all 3 Gens (and likely 2 Lts) of teams with essentially renewed vaults. And we face 2 of the 3 teams twice, which means predictions are nearly completely random.

Once again, whoever made these rules should be shot.  On the bright side, everyone clamoring for a new war winner will likely get what they've been asking for, but aether won't go down without a fight.

Well you'd might be too if you had the best run in wars ever (I think) for 8 rounds and then suddenly get roughly 25% of chances of winning war on par with other teams.  Then again, we got a great team and I like our deck choices so far so we might come on top anyway.. but if we win anything less then 3 matches we are almost out of this.

Because it was mentioned to me in a private message I will say this.

Teams ARE allowed to convert up to 24 cards following this rule

 "Conversion Rule Teams have the option to convert some of their cards. This means that they can replace any card in their Vault with a Pillar or a Pendulum of their element. Converting helps teams to avoid a situation where they would be otherwise forced to build "suicide" decks. Conversions will be done via a post in the private forums. Teams can convert a maximum of 24 cards per round, including before round 1."

I was wondering where deuce's meaningless prep posts were going. Often i read the conclusions of a post first, it gives an insight to how i should read the rest. So when i noticed this;

I heavily laughed at this and stopped reading. I find it poetic how he tells us how rightful and heroic of him to brute force little countries, while acting like he is the disadvantaged abused one with his hi-tech army as large as total of their enemies.

not actually, deuce believes be in a really disadvantage
but in fact the element, vault and players help as well, of course it is not a guaranteed win.
he wanted to know all the opponents decks to be fair!!!

Oh hain. Just imagine what you might be posting if you were actually on aether again this war. But I fully expected your post. Once a troll, always a troll.

At vang, you are correct. However, the 3 other elements in top 4 are 3 of aether's toughest elemental matchups. And while our vault is larger, our opponents have access to all of their strongest decks. Not to mention, we will have fewer upgrades as well. The only real advantage I think aether has is the players. And not sure what you are referring to about needing to know other opponents decks???
