2. Make sure you meet the following requirements:
- Started playing Elements less than 3 months ago
- Joined the forums less than 1 month ago
- Total number of cards is 120 or less.
- Total number of upgraded cards is 6 or less.
- Total amount of Electrum is 1,000 or less.
I joined the game and forums less than a month ago...here's my issue.

As of this very second:

I have 110 upped cards
I have 497 cards total
I have 21,016 score
I have 3,471 Electrum at the moment

Now in theory I could sell off cards and just join/quit games over and over all in the name of being a "rookie" but honestly that's dumb.  The rules are way too restrictive for any active player as you can break past any one of them on your first day following your guides on how to become rich...there are forums that encourage people to grind and what decks to use, there are people with dedicated farms for farming rares... yet your rules create an environment for a PvP event where people are unable to play the game and in any way advance themselves to at some point become productive members of the game.
All i have to say is get over it, it's for rookies and there's only 12 of them, it's not for people with loads of cards, it's for people like me that aren't that great. Obviously if you have that much money and cards then, you sir are not a rookie. :P

Well I looked at his auction page; we'll take timerclock if he wants to be on the team and qualifies.

the problem with the rookie settings is that you can EASILY go past them after a week; as a result, several people will fall through the cracks (people who are new but have put alot of work into their account)

it is too late to change this now, but you should think of this for the next war

a player who is new but put a lot of work into his/her account is not a rookie. s/he has playing experience and cards/electrum, regardless the date s6he started playing.

Alas, I do agree that the gap between rookies and the "bid-on players" is huge, maybe too big, and many players fall in between.

Which is the point of my post.  I play Monday through Friday probably 1-2 hours of actual play per day while I'm at work.  Within 2 days of playing I had a ROL/hope deck and was farming FG's thanks to the forums.  in under a month and I don't think I'm the exception to the rule, I've massed up a decent stack of cards.

Hey!

First about the requirements:
I have started playing a week or so ago, but my account was created a long while ago via Kongragate. (I am not even sure how long is long, i just realized i have an acc a week ago when i actually decided to give the game a serious try). I hope this is not a big problem. My 400 games played happened during the last 7 days with the exception of 3-5.

I joined the forums less than a month ago.

I have a bit more then 120 cards but it includes an obscene amount of pillars and useless things (dont ask why, "rookie"-s do pointless things) which i am happy to sell if it makes me qualify.

I have 2 upped cards.

I have a bit over 4k electrum but if i spend them on upping (which i am planning to just have not made up my mind yet) then i will meet the requirement (and also still meet the upped cards requirement).

So yeah i am on the edge of qualifying, I hope its acceptable.
(As for the rules i think its a bit silly that people who do not qualify can still do some absurd things - like quickly spend electrum on upgrading some cards to do qualify. how would that make anyone less of a rookie?)

My score is 3622. 247 wins / 167 losses
I have been fairly active during this 1 week, and I really enjoy the game. I have also performed well during my few beginners league matches, besting 4 of the top5 players in the league (record of 5w-2l so far).
Played around a lot in the trainer with a variety of decks for experimenting. I think fire is the element i am most familiar with, but of course i am mighty happy if any team takes me.

brettbstock will be the Team Fire rookie if he qualifies, but I know he is nudging the border of a couple rookie requirements.

If he is ineligible, I will select someone from this thread.
brettbstock was found eligible.  Congrats to the newest member of Team Fire.

So are the rookies allowed to surpass the restrictions once they have a team? Or do they have to stay there?

Obviously the forum time restriction will be passed during the war, assuming it's more than four rounds. I would assume passing the limits would be okay, but you'll have to have SG confirm that.
