Might I point out that I could simply grind AI3/5 or T50 and buy any needed common cards from the bazaar? (at least, as long as I'm notified of the deck long enough before my match)

It's not just that you need the cards to play your match, but you need lots of cards to be able to do the necessary testing during your deck-building stage.  You'll probably need to test a number of different decks before your team settles on the one they think is best.  Plus, you want to spend your time testing and practicing your deck, not grinding to get the money you need to buy the cards.  I'd recommend working on collecting as many cards as you can before War even starts.

(That's why I postponed upping my FG deck so I have the money to buy a playset of everything. Cost me a suprising amount of coins! I thought "OK it will be, like, 5k electrums"... Turned out to be ~ 2k per elment)

Guess I need to decide whether to farm on the one with the most cards or the one which has managed to gain the most electrum in the shortest amount of time, then.
Again, since I didn't notice an answer to the question- should we update the application upon getting new rares?
