Short History of this deck, with some theories/reasoning for card choises:
The novel idea of using B.Eaters instead of BallL.s has been around these forums for quite some time, but the deck No Land Uppercut by PoLdeR (
http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,14688.0.html) was the one that made me really see the potential of those little buggers. I modified the PoLdeRs original idea, and the first test-version of BEC was born: unlike this version it had 3
Pendulums and 3 E.Graboid .
I really liked how well that deck performed in AI3 & T50, the very best moment was beating V2 on Top50 in 4 turns with 66 life points left! I continued testing on AI3, and then I realized that although having multiple Graboids is fun and all, not being able to do much on turn 1 would keep ttw stats low (meaning >6). Another thing that kept bothering me was control creatures AI3 has: Otyugh, Maxwell, A.Squid. That finally let me replacing
with
(Graboid -> T.bolt &
Pen to
Twr). The changes help a lot on getting 1st or 2nd turn Cremation. And the fact that T.bolt can take out any control creature or deal 5 damage to dome is just perfect for this deck, although I'm still thinking whether 3 is too much.
The last change I've made was replacing the weapon, suggested by xdude.

0 cost cards:
V2: 17, 6 Cremation -> 83,1% games start with Cremation in hand
NG: 16, 6 Cremation -> 83,1%
2B: 15, 5 Cremation -> 76,6%
BEC: 10, 5 Cremation -> 79,3%
->
Cremation in opening hand more frequently.
Actually according to calculations it's little less frequently:
p(Cremation in opening hand) =
p(at least 1 Cremation in first 7 cards) + p(mulligan)*p(at least 1 Cremation in first 7 cards) =
1 - p(no Cremation in first 7 cards) + p(no 0 cost card in first 7 cards)*[1 - p(no Cremation in first 7 cards)] =
1 - 0,236 + 0,038*(1-0,236) = 0,764 + 0,029 = 79,3%
1 - 0,170 + 0,001*(1-0,170) = 0,830 + 0,001 = 83,1%
Damage dealing cards:
| Big | Med | Low | non-damage |
V2 | 9 | 4 | 4 | 13 |
NG | 7 | 5 | 4 | 14 |
2B | 6 | 4 | 10 | 9 (+1) |
BEC | 8 | 4 | 8 | 10 |
-> Less non-damage cards in deck.
