First off, I built the deck because I love scorpions in this game.  If I can get a blessed scorpion out by turn 3, the AI is extremely hard-pressed to win, though I find it best to wait until I can cast both in the same turn.  Originally, I used all pendulums, but it seems to run much more smoothly with the light pillars included instead.  While hourglasses help get to the cards I need, as a 40 card deck I sometimes wind up with accidentally hilarious hands like 3 blessings, 3 lightning bolts, and a pillar.  Anubis is obviously there primarily to provide some safety for the scorpions. Oftentimes, hitting the opponent only once or twice with the scorpion and then using rewind tactics is sufficient to win.  It ran just fine with no upgraded cards.

When people grind ai3, they tend to want more speed, which is something your deck lacks.

It can be a slog at times, definitely.  It's oftentimes proven pretty fast to me, but perhaps I just lack perspective on what is considered a speed deck.

a fast deck consistantly wins in 6(maybe 7) turns or less.

That's... remarkably fast.  I don't think I've ever seen a deck that consistently fast; maybe the RNG just hates me.

try Grabbix (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,16828.0.html) if you want a faster deck

As for the deck i would ditch the whole aether part of the deck and add rewinds and a bit more quanta production
so -4 lighting - 4 aether pendulum -2 anubis +4 rewinds

For dune scorpions to function you only need them to hit once so quint doesnt really do much. each rewind forces the opponent to play the cost of the card again, reset any buffs, and take an extra poison counter.

Plus a smaller deck allows you to get the combo out faster

Tried this; so far I have 2 wins versus 8 losses.  The combo has shown up faster only once so far.  I admit it's a small sample size.

Yeah, Grabbix can be inconsistent, though it's fast when it does go off. That does seem like quite a bit of bad luck though.

Try one of these:

Mono-death (Pillars, poison, mummies, dragons, Arsenics)
Mono-life (Pillars, frogs, cockatrices, adrenalines)
Mono-earth (Earth pillars, Mark of Time, graboids, shriekers)
Mono-time (Pillars, ghosts, precogs, dragons)
Novabow (4-5x quantum pillars, novas, up to 2 cheap cards from each element)

Sorry, I was apparently unclear.  I meant, I'm trying the suggestion of eliminating aether from my posted deck.  It's now 5 - 16.

EDIT: I note none of your suggestions involve scorpions, despite my comment in the first post about liking how they play.  Are they just that horrible, or what?

Also with poison decks that have  :time and  :light sundials are also a good option they give you a turn of protection making up for the time drawing it and essentially makes you deck smaller when using hasten. poison still damages when the dials are in effect.

Oh I didn't even see that - I'm sorry :) I guess I've just grown used to suggesting those decks.

Against ai3, you want relatively decent speed, and dune scorpions aren't the fastest creature ever - however, with sundials you could draw faster and not get outrushed at the same time. I'd go with 5 blessing-dune combos, 4 sundials, and a few ghosts for added damage. Try to keep it right around 30 cards.

If you still want CC, you could try more reverse times, to keep the deck a duo, but it you still want lightnings I think it would be best to run light mark, aether pends, time pillars, and just a couple time pends for the best total balance.

After tinkering around with it some more, I swapped out Light and Aether for Gravity, and it's consistently winning by about turn 10, at a higher rate than the original:

With no life gain or quanta mitigation, it's just about game over if no scorpions have hit the hand by turn 3, but it runs pretty smoothly.  I've only used Momentum on the Oty once, against the Pharaoh's deck.
