I really like Shard of Void; I also really like pvp1, so I decided to try putting the two together and make a SoV-reliant deck that works in pvp1.
A quick breakdown of card and mark choices:
- Shard of Void: the whole point of the deck! Get your opponent to 1 maximum HP!
- Darkness Mark: SoV already takes long enough at 3HP / turn. This mark is a must in my opinion.
- Enchant Artifact: SoV is slow. It's even slower when you lose shards to PC (pretty much a guaranteed loss), so enchant artifact is important to make sure shards stay alive. Typical pvp1 decks like mono -dark and -fire will have ~3 steals / deflags, so I put in 3 EAs to have a decent chance of drawing one whenever an opponent draws PC. Any extras can be used on dagger > pillars >= pends
- Dagger: simplest way to finish the game, but won't get through dim shield, bone wall, wings, etc.
- Drain Life and Poison: For getting through non-reflective shields. Drain life can also be used as light CC if your opponent plays a 2HP creature that you don't like
You will generally have the quanta to play either. - Shard of Sacrifice: this was my choice for stall. Basically a good choice as far as turns of stall per card, and isn't vulnerable to PC. Many pvp1 decks are not built to deal with SoSac as it's not very common in unupped pvp (just like SoV). This choice means you will have trouble with decks that are light on damage but have enough to kill you faster than SoV can do its work. Other options might be going dark / earth / light with stone skin, miracles and sanctuary (which would help enormously against things like mono dark), maybe a 35 - 40 card deck. Gravity as the third quanta type might also be viable because having titan or any momentum will allow you to lose the daggers and spell damage cards in favor of, say, more dark quanta, dusk mantle, and steal + extra drain life.
I played a few dozen games with this a month ago and had plenty of fun and wins

. I did, however, lose the original list, which I think had a slightly different quanta base. This seems to work fine though.
