Note: Updated the rule, quanta producing cards are only pillars, pendulums and creatures that produce quanta for this tournament.

The word "indirectly" doesn't quite work like that. It's more like it's a creature-producing card and its creatures happen to produce quanta. You could say that its ability indirectly produces quanta, but not the card itself.

Oh, "indirectly" isn't off here at all. But I should have written "[...] is able to indirectly produce quanta" instead of "[...]indirectly produces quanta", as the latter implies an automatism which is not existent. True. Major nit picking though. Well, can't complain as I started it.

Trident isn't banned because it's much slower than EQ and can't be splashed. Quanta producing creatures is only Gnome Rider, Dragonfly, and Firefly

I know Trident is slower, I just wasn't sure if it was intentional or an oversight.  Nothing worse than getting to tournament time and realizing you need to throw out a deck you thought was legal or, worse, use one that is illegal.

Or worse yet - openly discussing meta for a tourney before it plays out?  *sigh*  I still don't understand the desire to Publicly ask things like "what about X card - it seems strong so have you considered banning it?".  Ask such things in a PM to all TO's - if they decide no oversight you get your answer.  If determined as an oversight all will see it posted here as a Q&A clarification.  *sigh2*
