Hey guys,
This tourney looks like lots of fun I've just got a couple comments so far.
I found the responses to these two questions inconsistent with each other:
Q. Are other cards allowed?
A. The rules don't say you can use Other, so no.
Q. What marks are allowed?
A. The rules don't say, which means you can assume all marks are allowed.
While I agree with both ruling individually the logic behind the rules in contradictory, in the first case the rules neither forbid nor allow something and the default is forbidden, in the second the rules neither forbid nor allow something and the default is its allowed.
I think the question about using additional elements is a perfect example of the problem. I'm assuming from your responses to the repeated questions that the intention of this rule:
Each deck must contain exactly one element of a primary color and exactly two elements of secondary colors.
Is that a deck may not include cards from elements not listed in the primary or secondary lists. Which means you're assuming that we should all know, "if a rule doesn't specifically permit it then its forbidden", the problem is the OP doesn't tell us we're supposed to make this assumption.

This deck contains exactly one element of a primary colour and exactly two elements of secondary colours, and at least 8 cards of each element. It would seem to me that it meets the rules as written.
I'm not asking that this be the ruling, only that rules be more consistent, and that when rules like this need to be clarified that they be added to the OP, having to search through a thread for all the rules makes it more likely that something will get missed.
Again, thank you guys as TO's for all your hard work, I certainly appreciate the time and effort you put in for my sake and the enjoyment of all the other tourney players out there.
