Rules

Players who lose their quarterfinal (Top 8) matches will compete for the 5th and 6th place prizes in a mini-tournament. Prize-eligible players (namely, ones in the top 8) who leave the tournament without notifying the Tournament Organizer of their intent are considered to have forfeited their match, and also their prize.

A: I know Aether iz coolz but it is neither primary or secondary color so you CAN'T use it.

This tourney looks like lots of fun I've just got a couple comments so far.
I found the responses to these two questions inconsistent with each other:
Q. Are other cards allowed?
A. The rules don't say you can use Other, so no.
Q. What marks are allowed?
A. The rules don't say, which means you can assume all marks are allowed.
While I agree with both ruling individually the logic behind the rules in contradictory, in the first case the rules neither forbid nor allow something and the default is forbidden, in the second the rules neither forbid nor allow something and the default is its allowed.
I think the question about using additional elements is a perfect example of the problem. I'm assuming from your responses to the repeated questions that the intention of this rule:

I'm not asking that this be the ruling, only that rules be more consistent, and that when rules like this need to be clarified that they be added to the OP, having to search through a thread for all the rules makes it more likely that something will get missed.
Again, thank you guys as TO's for all your hard work, I certainly appreciate the time and effort you put in for my sake and the enjoyment of all the other tourney players out there.

Not to be a pain in the tuckus, as I'm guessing it is this way for balancing purposes that I just haven't thought of, or some other such nonsense. And I realize that obviously this will not change. But wouldn't it make more sense for decks to consist of two primaries and one secondary? Like, the two primaries mix and create the secondary. So if I choose fire and time as my primaries, I should have to have gravity as my secondary.
Would make a lot more thematic sense to me.

You've always gotten cake from posting in the annual birthday thread, and there's not a single reason I can think of that we'd 1) move that arbitrarily to a tourney of all things or 2) limit the timeframe that much.Good to know that, I had never known how the heck people got that slice of pink cake T.T

It would've been easier to build decks for if any of the elements had had useful splash zero cost cards, but the only ones were ones that basically required that element, as well (soulcatcher, immolation) or an element not used by anything else (sundial) and of those, only souclatcher was in the secondary elements, making that trick basically impossible. My pharaoh decks had 6 gravity pends and no other gravity cards, as one way to get around the restriction, and my nymph deck had an arsenic and a heal, plus pends and NT/queen to get around it. The poison/physalia/congeal/heal deck I made but didn't get to use kind of got around it, by simply not needing very much quanta at all to run; those were probably the best decks I had this time around.
This was everything I built, but like usual, I would've likely only used the best 4 or 5; I like to build more, even if I'd never use it, just to get an idea of what kind of decks are possible and hence what I might face from my opponents.

I built a death/water/life poison deck, and I was worried it might run into purify which would've been a loss.That's exactly the reason why I didn't do neuro decks :) I'm just wondering if that fear of purify ruled the meta, rather than neuro might have.
