Rules
Please read PvP Tournament rules (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,6997.0.html) carefully before signing up.
The rules will be slightly different for this tournament.  With the lack of turnout at regular tournaments, we have decided to do an experiment to see if a "merged" tournament will draw a bigger group of participants than regular tournaments have in the past couple of weeks.  This may or may not be temporary depending on the results, but it will most likely last more than a week.  The basic rules regarding joining and matches still apply.  Timing will be the same, with brackets being made 5 minutes before the hour.  Prizes will be given out to the top 6 participants, not the top 4.  The losing players in the final 8 will enter a separate single elimination bracket to determine who finishes 5th and 6th.  Prizes will be:

1st	7,000 electrum + Nymph/Mark + Trophy (Forum Icon)
2nd	5,000 electrum + Nymph/Mark
3rd	4,000 electrum
4th	3,000 electrum
5th	2,000 electrum
6th	1,000 electrum

NOTE: people with less than 30 forum posts are not allowed to enter tournaments.

Special Rules
Upgraded cards and shards are not allowed.
Maximum deck size is 30 cards
Up to 6 types of non-Pillar/Pend cards are allowed in each deck
Any number of Pillars/Pends are allowed in each deck
Number of copies for non-Pillar/Pend cards must follow the pyramid 1 -> 2 -> 3 -> 4 -> 5 -> 6 -- each "step" of the pyramid fits one type of card. Pillars/Pends CANNOT fit into pyramid slots!

FAQ:

Q: What does the pyramid mean?
A: It means that you can have one card with 1 copy, one card with 2 copies, and so on until one card with 6 copies. For example, you could have:

• 1 Lightning, 2 Rage Potion, 3 Shockwave, 4 Freeze, 5 Basilisk Blood, 6 Rewind, any number of any types of Pillars/Pends.
• 1 Armagio, 2 Gravity Pull, 3 Titan, 4 Catapult, 5 Gravity Shield, any number of any types of Pillars/Pends.
• 1 Otyugh, 2 Rustler, 3 Toadfish, any number of any types of Pillars/Pends.

Q: Do we have to start at 1 in the pyramid?
A: Yes.

Q: Can we skip steps in the pyramid?
A: No, you have to go in this order: 1 -> 2 -> 3 -> 4 -> 5 -> 6.  You can choose not to use all the steps of the pyramid, but you must start at 1 and continue in order.

Q: May I start a new pyramid after I finished the first one?
A: No. Since each slot must be occupied by a unique non-Pillar/Pend card, and only (up to) 6 different types of non-Pillar/Pend cards may be used, only 1 pyramid may be made.

If you had made the Eastern Tournament a few hours earlier, there would have been more people.

The problem hasn't necessarily been the eastern tourneys because although we have had a minimal amount of attendance we have still had them while we have not had the last two western tourneys.  If this time slot works, we could possibly shift the tourney rotation a few hours earlier.
