Went 0-2, but was actually good. Should have won its final game against mono Entropy with close-to-average RNG easily.

Stomped everything, then lost due to ridicoulus luck (1 Pend in the first 10 cards, then 2 mutations manage to buff an Ice Dragon - twice !!!)

I didn't see anyone else with this or deathstalkers like my first deck. This one went 0-2, once vs. Makku and vs. Marsu. Both times I was countered by CC and drawing 1/5 rustlers in both games. :(

This deck (archetype) ruled the meta, from what I could see. It went neck and neck against the mono fire rushes, but I managed to pull slightly ahead of all the dragons. There were several mirror-ish matches - no one else was using Mutation on the lycans. It's record is 5-1 or so, if I recall correctly. (In the later matches I removed a lycan or two for more dragons.)

As was expected, I saw a lot of monowater.  In fact, I -only- saw monowater, and as a result I had 6/7 mirror matches.  I tried building some liquid shadow decks like marsu had, only I did it with entropy and life instead of earth, but they all lost to monofire and monowater, which I expected would be basically the only decks used successfully.

These are the decks I had left in my list, after deleting the liquid shadow ones.  I also tried a monoair rush deck and a death/darkness poison deck in testing, but they proved to be disastrously bad.

Against glennfoo, all 3 matches were basically decided by RNG.  The first game, we both played a mirror match monowater and so we saw that the best strategy was to wait before playing dragons until we could icebolt them.  This resulted in a pure RNG game that I was lucky enough to win.  In the second game, I added one quanta card to make it a 32 card deck, because I thought glenn might do the same to prevent me threatening a deckout win.  (I didn't win by deckout, but I would have had he not run out of useful cards)  He did add one more card :p  I never got an icebolt all game, though.  He did change his dry spells into crawlers.  Game 3 I switched to monofire, thinking he wouldn't play the same deck again.  He did, but he played it without dry spells, so I won.  In testing monofire beat everything except monowater with dry spells, and monowater did pretty good against everything and countered monofire.  They were all pretty close games, and just came down to luck of the draw.

Against washington, the first game was another water mirror match, which he won.  The second game, we had another mirror match.  We desynced, and apparently my ai killed its own dragons with dry spells, and so he won an otherwise unwinnable game vs my ai.  Oddly, in my version, the ai did NOT play any dry spells, even though it had 2 in hand, and I had 2 dragons and washington had 1. (which on his end, combined with my 4 dry spells, killed all my dragons)  Vineroz ruled that we replay, and I got a 1 pillar draw and lost.

At this point, I'd like to apologize to both vineroz and washington.  I pretty much accused vineroz of incompetence in ruling in washington's favour, but in truth there was no way vineroz could have seen the progression of the game, as all he had to go by were my two screenshots of the turn of the desync and the turn of my win, and washington's win.  I am not certain how washington did not see that he won only because my ai killed its own, but I must apologize because I also pretty much accused him of lying to vineroz about the situation, as there was no possible way that washington could have won in my mind, as he did not draw any more ice dragons or ice bolts before I beat his ai, and I saw no possible way my ai could have screwed up.  Unfortunately, it spamming dry spells screwed it up :p  I still have no idea why his ai didn't do the same thing, when I had a better board position; it makes no sense.  However, that's the way it went down, and there's nothing I can do about it except hope that my opponents have better connections in the future :p

I played all matches MonoWater.

My only change was to take the 2 Dry Spell and put 2 Pillares face when he thought something was not FireRush.

I only ended up playing 2 decks here though I built a few more (including a version of the mono Water very similar to dragonsdemesne's).

This was the obvious deck. With the right draw it was fast enough to out-rush pretty much anything else. It went 5-2 (2-1 against mono Water) including 2 exact mirror matches against theboss1248 in the first round where I just had more luck.

I figured this had an ok chance against mono Fire and a good chance against mono Water and so mostly used this when expecting the latter. This went 2-1. The loss was in the first match of the final where I drew about 11 pillars, 2/3 dragons (which got bolted) and 1 mutation (which changed his dragon into a 10|8 Grey Nymph).

Obviously there were lots of the same decks in this tournament and it was largely down to luck, but I'm very pleased to have reached the final before mine ran out. Thanks to Vineroz for hosting and also to everyone I faced.
