Request for a rule: each card in the deck must be playable.
This gets rid of the chance that people might go duos with 5 dead cards

How do you define "playabe" in a rule?

Deck1: 6 Lava Golem, 6 BB, 5 shockwave, 13 earth pendulums  mark
Deck2: 6 Lava Golem, 6 BB, 5 shockwave, 1 air pend, 12 earth pendulums  mark

Does the 1 pend make the "dead cards" playable? Would it stop you from going for a Lava Golem duo?

It is. As is a deck with 10 light and 10 water pends with 5 shockwave and 5 TStorm.

Sub's Water Pend, Light Pend, Wind Pillar, Tstorm, Shockwave deck doesn't seem like it should be legal. Should Pendulums and Pillars really count toward the required 5 cards for the 3 elements?

Perhaps the rule should be changed to "Your deck must use non-pillar/pendulum cards from exactly three different elements (defined as five or more cards of each element, not counting Pillars and Pendulums).

I ask the piller/pend rule most times and the official tourney rule thread states that pillars and pends are in element unless stated otherwise the problem is there is always a loophole that can be used no matter how the rules are stated all we can do is play what we believe is a viable deck for the tourney others will interpret rules differently and therefore see loopholes in short the tos cannot close up every loophole without taking from the enjoyment of the tournament for others.

The rule can easily be abused. The shockwave would take 4 turns to play but it would be playable. How about we just hope no one stoops that low XD
