This thread is for suggestions as to what cards the team should keep an eye out for salvage, given the opportunity.  I'll add all suggestions to this OP.

-quantum pillar.  When designing that rainbow deck for aether, I had one previous version that I needed quantum pillars for, but we didn't have any, as I had forgotten about it during vault selection.  I wouldn't mind a few of these, but it's not crucial.

-moar deflagrations/novas.  MOAR MOAR MOAR.  Useful in so many decks.  They might be hard to salvage, though; people will probably try to hang on to these.  If they do discard them, TAKE THEM!

-vampire stiletto.  Wouldn't mind one of these if we can snag one, either for novabows or gotp/nightmare perhaps.

-fire shield.  2 or so of these for a deck kind of like our time/fire phoenix one could be handy; we'd probably have to up it, but that can be arranged.

-owl's eye.  A powerful weapon.

-earthquake/stoneskin.  We have 4 of each; wouldn't hurt to have 6.

-anything we want to have as many copies of as possible, like reverse time, etc.

I think we can need some protect artifact, to make our eternities unbreakable, or to deal with quakes. Really useful against :fire, i think!

There might have been a misunderstanding about the salvaging rules - it doesn't matter what the opponent discards. If we win they discard 24 cards from their deck and we salvage 6 from it, those two things are completely independant.

For the current salvage I think we should take 6 Lightnings from the Aether deck, as those are just universally useful. The other option would be to get some Death stuff, but we can't build a deck with just one salvage. We can also save 6 cards from our mono Time. I'm leaning towards the Ghosts here as running low on creatures is dangerous, but you could also make a case for Hourglasses or Dragons.

Oh, okay.  I thought for salvaging that we had to pick from the discarded 24 cards.  In fact, I thought it was you that told me that :p  But yeah, as for salvaging from Aether, I think Lightning or Poison is the best bet, so I have no problems with taking 6 lightnings.  Other than those two cards, I can't see anything even coming close to helping us.

For discards, I'd be tempted to save some of the ghosts first, but we have a lot of all of the cards in that deck, so it's not as big a deal as it might have been if, for instance, we'd lost with the other deck we used.

Thanks to 10 men's victory against annamall (earth), we can salvage from:
6x earthquake 3x stoneskin, 15x earth pend, 4x shockwave, 6x wings, 3x eagle's eye

TheManuz defeated Fire, and we can salvage from:
5x Poison, 2x Arsenic, 4x Bone Wall, 6x Burning Pillar, 6x Fire Bolt, 7x Fire Pendulum

Ffun beat Water, and we can salvage from:
1x Abomination, 4x Discord, 8x Water Pillar, 3x Ice Bolt, 6x Toadfish, 5x Water Pendulum, 3x Blue Crawler

The valiant, heroic, and generally awesome time lieutenant defeated entropy 3-1, and we can salvage from:
8x amethyst pillar, 4x maxwell's demon, 5x abomination, 3x purple dragon, 1x dissipation shield, 3x discord, 7x entropy pendulum

We shouldn't make any decisions until the end of round 2, so that we have all the information, but I just wanted to start a post listing all the possibilities for when the time comes.  Plus, I'm excited that 10 men somehow beat that deck with dune scorps, and 3-0 no less.  I have no clue how he did it... with Eagle's Eye and shockwaves, I'd have predicted an easy win for them.

The earthquakes were the problem for them, they were just as blank for them as my RTs were. They needed to have Owl's Eye fast which isn't too likely with only 3 out of 37 or otherwise they are too slow for the Neurotoxin. If the EQs had been anything else I probably would have lost.

Ok, so I can't sleep...  :P

We never got to play our Time/Light Stall in Rnd 1... We have the option to make a second one... (via salvage). What if we build the 2 T/L Stalls and throw them at our weakest opponents and concentrate the remaining salvage into 2 or 3 heavy decks for our toughest opponents and use our regular aresenal for the middle guys... Just a thought...

oh, and UW joins war this round too... :)

This might affect what we salvage, too.

LIGHT: From light's firestall, most of that fire stuff isn't actually that useful to us.  Probably the most useful is the sancs/miracles, and this would also fit with bripod's suggestion to salvage some of those for two time/light stalls.  Maybe the fireshields could be usable for us if upped, but I think the light stuff is still better.

ENTROPY: I think the discords and maxwell's demons are the most useful here.  There was one deck we designed with time/entropy and discord/abomination, that would probably do better with maxwell's instead of abominations.  edit: Due to the water deck salvage's lack of possibilities, don't take discords from this one, but take them from water.

GRAVITY: Discords are available here, too, but I'd like to get some black holes.  Throwing an upped black hole in a discordnovabow would be fun :) edit: Due to the water deck salvage's lack of possibilities, don't take discords from this one, but take them from water.

FIRE: Hmm... not sure about this one.  Don't really see that fire stuff helping, unless we salvage more fire cards from other decks, too, so I guess that leaves the death cards.

EARTH: Some nice ones here.  We could take the wings to offset our own discards, or we could take some owl's eye/shockwaves.  EQ/SS we probably have enough of already.  edit: looking at the stuff we'll have to discard, I think dumping the wings from our time/air deck and taking them again from here is the best plan.  We don't want to be short on time cards, and this saves us some time discards, particularly ones that nobody else is going to have in their vault for us to salvage.

WATER: This salvage really sucks.  Discords... and... what?  Given that the water stuff here does not really fit our decks at all, I recommend the discords here and trying to take nondiscord things from some of the other decks that had them.

That looks really good to me.  For the fire deck, bonewalls might be okay, too.  Not sure if we really need 6 black holes from that gravity deck, but nothing else in there is useful to us except more discords.  Mind you, having lots of discords is okay :p  We can take some along with the maxwell's from entropy, though.

So from entropy, I think 2 whatever = 2 discord, from fire, 1 whatever = 1 bone wall, and from water... I don't think it matters, because I don't think we'll ever use any of it.  Maybe the abomination and a blue crawler?
