In the end I took out the shields, because you don't need them when your opponent can't play any creatures at all! ;)
If you can rewind them, sure you won't need any shield!
You've come up with a nice strategy, i wonder how it works!

Let's try to playtest against it if we have the time - it worked pretty well against our deck in trainer (4-1), since you can afford to keep the graboids burrowed til the last round due to the earthquake/eternity lock. On the other hand, I would like to see how a real person would play the pillars (against earthquake) or creatures (considering Eternity). Of course, team Earth could come up with something completely different than this, but it was fun thinking on a deck to counter team Time! :D

So we tested the  :light Stall tonight and it worked pretty well, after the first series vs the  :earth/ :death Stall, we decided to replace a RT with a Miracle and it seems an interesting improvement.

6 matches vs  :earth/ :death Stall : 2-1, 2-1

ITR and I also tried out the Air Stall vs Novagrabbow and it was a terrible disaster... I really don't think a lot of pretty pictures or verbose ramblings could make it look any better so, I'll just leave it at that...

Unless it was changed afterwards, I would imagine ITR's final deck would be:

So we've tested the deck Dragonsdemesne suggested for aether and it went pretty well, Bonebolt was beaten every time and it went 4-1 versus Devtal, that's quite encouraging  :)

This is the final version after some discussion with DD, BP and 10 men, the upped GotP was changed to an upped Time Nymph.

Ok, decks are finalized, we'll use the Discordbow against Aether and mono against Earth. Manuz and I did some last minute testing and we like the mono a tad better than Time Light.

For those who haven't seen the battle results, we beat Aether 3-1 and lost to Earth 0-3.  I apologize to the team for not planning our earth matchup better; I thought it was going to be really easy and so I focused completely on designing the Aether deck.  I don't know how much use I'd have been, though; I was definitely NOT expecting Team Earth to go monoair with stone dragons splashed in! :p

It's not your fault. We did not expected an air deck.
We had a deck capable of winning that deck, but it would have lost against others (rushes).
So we had to choose a deck, and we went for a more all-around deck.
It is impossible to foresee every possibility.

Yeah it's my bad, I halfway called Earths deck - I was very sure they would use something that does not care about Wings, but I could only think of Poison or deckout (stupid against us). Need to adjust my Precog antennas...
Anyway good job with the Aether deck, always feels better to end the round with a win. ;)

Round two starts later today, I'll probably be afk for most of Sunday, so please start strategizing without me!

I like that approach, we can learn from every loss, and even from every win.
We'll think to more possibilities for the round 2.
