The most popular weaknesses were Coward (6), Mindless (6), Crybaby (5), Pious (5), and Weak (5).
It's interesting that nobody who chose Coward also chose Weak. That's dangerous because it's not enough to have 0 upgrades when people can have negative upgrades with Weak and Skinny. Crybaby and Pious make a lot of sense since they give you access to a fifth card while only having a small chance of landing in an arena where you can't use Fire or Darkness.

I think you might be confusing Coward for something else as choosing Coward AND Weak is setting yourself up for never having more than your original strength availabe...

Oops. You're right. I got Coward mixed up in my head with Brave. Okay, so not pairing Coward and Weak is not so bad, and in fact really good! Not pairing Brave and Weak can make Brave less useful.

I have a reason for my use of Brave without Coward.  *HINT* It relates to a change from previous Colosseum competition to this one. /hint

I don't think a "bye" would need any special reward or penalty. Getting the bye itself is a kind of reward: you advance a round without fighting. On the other hand, your opponent will gain a strength from the round you skipped, so your lack of extra strength is the compensation for the "easy" advancement (without the need of fight). So I think its automatically balanced.

Automatically being weaker than your next opponent isn't balanced with getting a bye...

Voted for 'gain a strength'.
When you get an opponent that doesn't know this game well, is too lazy to spend time on deckbuilding or is playing troll decks for fun, it is essentially a bye/free win too, but you get a strength. Thus, everything but gaining a strength would not be fair.

Great point, majofa.  I have revised my vote which is now cast for "gain one strength and gain one weakness" as it seems unfair that a bye should have the FULL reward as beating another player.

Secondary seeding is up, also, per the poll and quite a large majority, receiving a bye will grant you a win.  This next poll will run for 24 hours, with a possible 24 hour extension, if I don't get a lot of results.
