When to remove arena deck? https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=47201.msg1045806#msg1045806
« on: February 25, 2013, 09:18:14 pm »
I was just wondering when people take their arena deck down.

Of course when it's not in Top 500 anymore or when it has 1 HP and isn't on first rank ;)
However, I got a deck with a ratio of 35/4 on rank 72 (10 minutes ago it was 35/2 with rank 28).

And now I asked myself if I should take it down because I think it reached it's highest rank and that's when I personally take the decks down, also because I enjoy submitting new ones.
How about you people here? What is your reasoning on keeping or removing an arena deck? :)

Usually I'll let it stay up until it's out of the top 500.  If it's on its way down, and I get an interesting card or a nymph, I'll take it down early, though.  Other than that, I'll just leave it.

I usually leave my arena decks for days on ends. Once, I left my arena deck for so long that when I came back it had apparently vanished from the ring. The highest conscious date I've left it was 28 days. It's just such a bore to change decks.

Pretty much exactly this. I have more fun with arena by building with the card offered, and so, usually I build a new deck as soon as I notice my deck being lower than rank 500 regardless of the card offered, though I'll sometimes make exceptions if I'm feeling unmotivated when it gets booted, or if I'm feeling motivated and am pretty sure the current deck has nowhere to go but down.

I only take it down when it is clear that my current arena deck has no chance of reaching top 10.

I never take 1 HP decks down. They're proof of an accomplishment, and I do some people a favour by giving them a free win.

Same! But my reason is that I want to see how long I can make a deck last (and beat my friend's record).

If it didn't do well the first day it was up, it's not very likely to do very well after that.

Never on most of my side accounts that I use for various reasons, but never put an arena deck up for since the need to do so to me shows that it needs electrum that shouldn't be needed by a good start-up.

For my main account I put one up every few days. I usually make the decision to put it up/take it down subconsciously. Once I had a plat deck that was like 30-2 after 2 days and took it down 1 day later. It was only a subconscious decision. The next deck got about 12-1 after 1 day.
