Round 1 (W): Chapuz played an Eagle's Eye and an Auburn Nymph. He got my HP down to 81, and I started an early Dimensional Shield stall. Eventually I fractal'd a Purple Dragon and laid down 5 of them to do 50 damage. Chapuz petrified one and sniped another down to 2 HP so I only did 40 damage the next turn, then finished the following turn.

Round 2 (W): Chapuz played an Eagle's Eye, 2 Auburn Nymphs, a Stone Dragon, and an Elite Wyrm. He got my HP down to 31, and I stalled with Dimensional Shield and laid down a Lobotomizer. The Lobotomizer hit until 60 HP left, when I fractal'd my Amethyst Dragon, played 6, and flew over a Wings shield for the win.

Round 3 (W): Chapuz played a Fog Shield, an Eagle's Eye, a Sky Dragon, 2 Auburn Nymphs, and a Stone Dragon. He got me down to 33 health, and I started the Dimensional Shield stall with a Lobotomizer. The Lobo was stalled by the Fog shield and only got in 10 damage. I stalled for quite some time, eventually holding both my Purple and Amethyst Dragons, a Supernova, an Explosion, and a Fractal. Then we disconnected. Chapuz played the AI which combo'd for the win. Chapuz decided to call the round.

Good games, Chapuz. Sorry for the boring dimstall. I greatly appreciate how sportsmanlike you are, thank you!

Game 1: dims. He played 5 dragons with 10 cards left, I had no for and 1 nymph out. Could BB 2 dragons and kill one, still a 3TW for him.

Game 2: Dims. 'nuff said.

Game 3: I got a fog (finally), he dcted getting a "you lost" screen, I played against AI and learned he had SN, deflag and fractal. Fog was good but not enough against 9-10 dragons, AI masacred me. I gave him the win, idk if it should have been a rematch or not.

I hope team  :entropy enjoyed the deck prepared against  :life

Courtesy:
* First of all, congrats on entropy's win.

Rant:
* Second, our deck was prepared to be played against Life. We thought we were facing life. I noticed the change like 1 hour to duel phase and opted not to touch it since the proper thing to do was modifying all the decks and there wasn't time for that. The matchups had already been changed once and i was a fool to think we would be notified of this second change (god knows why they keep changing). The round matchup topics are being used as a scribble board, being changed publicly regardless of the consequences.

Observation:
* Third, on this round this was our fourth match and we are 1-3 with all loses to dims. This made me think why everyone is using dims. Okay we are a good target, but it is also because terror of psiontall basically banned any sort of shield to be played against aether. So people send it to the next good target. Since round 3, aether had 15 matches so far and faced any sort of anti-damage shield 4 times and won 3 of those (if i'm not mistaken). They were effectively shielded 1 time. Why ? Because people are terrified of psiontall and for good reason. It changes whole meta game, it is better against shields than a pack of deflags and has a butterfly effect like squeezing possible dim targets, like changing decks people field against us.
Just thought it was sort of amusing for a team to remove all shields against them.

hain out.

Haink, we don't have an aether matchup this round. But interesting off topic analysis

was meant throughout this war so far. honestly, only those who have faced a psiontal should have reason to go shieldless. other than that, there are reflect shields in 2 different elements.

Even before psions, I always prepped for dims. I will have to look back, but I don't recall losing to dims very often in war 5. I recall having 24 dims or so going into final couple rounds that war, so I know we beat most (if not all) dim decks we faced. Dims have never been very effective against aether (or just not effective against me).

As for air, you guys have at least 2 sets of UGs, 5 nymphs, and a hand full of steals. It sounds to me like you expected teams not to send dims to you, and you gambled incorrectly. This entropy match is a different story, but the others you have no excuse. I was expecting you to send Sanc stall here, which would have lost anyway.

Come now, are you reading deuce ? I'm saying ANY shield, not only dims. You faced any shields 4 times in your 15 matches over last 3 rounds and you won 3 (i had made only a quick look, may be +-1) . Psiontalls practically added an invisible rule to WAR: "shields are banned vs aether". I'd like to remind you that it is me who is speaking. I was a supporter of using psiontall more than you did. I even expressed my thoughts about how strong psiontall was with statistics after we won war#6, on the deck vote suggestions announcement topic. So my current thoughts are in line with that.

Second, this issue is completely irrelevant with your capabilities as a general or your powers of preparedness. I think you are the strongest general, but also combined with the strongest element by far. So don't take it personally. Psiontall is half the reason why you are sitting on top.
