Game 1: Won the toss with a two pillar draw - not the best start. I played a Poison then waited for the quanta to play an Arsenic. I BBed his nymph, and later, his Ghost. I got out my Diamond Shield after his second Ghost, and although he Rewound his nymph to get our of delay, I'd already beaten him down.
Game 2: Lost toss. Two pillar start again, though I topdecked another on my first draw - no death cards though, I BBed everything he played, and he Rewound everything I BBed. Somewhere in there I drew an Arsenic and a couple more Poisons to make up for my fail start hand. Also, I think he misplayed once and didn't replay his Ghost. Near the end he sent out out burst of damage, but my poison had already gotten to him, and I had Stone Skins waiting even if I hadn't.
Game 3: Won toss with a 3 pillar start. This was the first time he pulled out an upped Ghost, and I was thinking this'd also be the first time I pull out my Stone Skins. I was right. A lack of poisons meant in the end it came down to whether I topdecked an SS. I didn't.
Game 4: Won toss, though I only drew 1 pillar. I had my Diamond in hand along with 4 Stone Skins, though no Poisons or Arsenic. After drawing more quanta, I got the shield out, drew a poison, and BBed two of Cheesy's 3 ghosts, one of which he RTed. I ended up playing the Stone Skins earlier than I'd have liked to, and never really caught up.
Game 5: Won the toss again - only a two pillar draw, but a much nicer starting hand with two Poisons, a Basilisk Blood, Stone Skin and Titanium, all which I played very quickly (except the SS, of course
)
I didn't draw an Arsenic for ages, but the four Poisons I'd played were killing him nicely. Stone Skins were life savers, resulting in my fourth war win.
Oh, BTW, I used 3 fewer upps.
